Wow, I never would have thought about that myself. That's just amazing, he deserve's some sort of Socom God award.

But to add my 2 cents on sniping on this map, if you are playing Convoy, go to the North load zone (right near the hill) and run straight across the road. You will see a big rock with paths up both sides, now run to the right of the rock and bury yourself in the grass there. No-one ever drives through there, and you have a perfect shot at the cargo truck and who-ever goes near it.

Not exactly useful in terms of a "strategy" also:

ok, harvester is a big map, one way to work things out, if you're on the seals team, at the main base, spawn point 1, there is a Hummer with a bunch of guns, load up the vehicular and drive to...about the ruins area. Terrorists are usually there, crossing the bridge or running to wards the seal spawn, you should be able to take out a few there with 4 guns.

Spawn point 2, i THINK, thats where you get the boat. what you wanna do is load up the boat full, and try and have someone take a sniper rifle along with them, for protection against long range shots. drive towards the island thingy around the spawn point, its in the area mentioned above, where the hummer is driving to. usually, there will be a couple terrorists chilling in the windows, or around the shore and in the water, you should find a lot of ppl here...in my experience.

Ok, so for the last..."suggestion" for harvester. there's a spawn point, number two i think, where there is a little path that leads downwards towards a couple of rocks, if you can grab a M87 or SR then head down to the rocks, and just camp for a bit. since the map is so big, you'll most likely catch a few terrorists off guard running by, not to mention that's where a terrorist spawwn is

and thats what i got, hope it helps.

P.S. OOOOO! Erg is a mod!

I say get a M16 wit a thermal and rifle laser, i no i no thermal doesnt have that great of range, so stay in the weeds and around rocks--dont get seen, believe me if ur a seal and go up through the windmill area, u can kill and sniper on the hill, the thermal is perfect for that map. If ur a terrorist go up and snipe wit the M16 from the left side of the house, if there isnt anyone there, go up and make sure--but stay to the left side--then once u have cleared their spawn point (this is small map of course) go up to the windmill area--by doing this u can get easy kills by jus coming up behind their whole team. Always use the M16 wit the thermal and try to be a terrorist, I believe this is a terrorist map its really obvious. For this u don't even need ghille, I would actually recommend the standard black suit.

Harvester...Convoy...Seals
1. Camp and snipe. This map is full of camping spots. Don't go to the ones everybody uses (ie. hill by load zone). Because of the high grass, you can actually lay our in the open fairly safely.
2. Rush the terrorist spawn point. 9 times out of 10 the convoys are still there. Use the ledge just to the right of the breach zone by their spawn point. Avoid going down the hill into the small lake... you're pretty open.
3. Use mines on all roads around the house and the barn. Who cares about the convoy trucks, your goal here is to stop any terrorists in technicals from running over the 11 snipers the seals undoubtedly have hiding on the hill by the far load zone.
4. Communicate. Worst thing in the world is when you have 3 snipers covering the same road. Cover each others six, and talk a lot. Smart terrorist can easily sneak in behind the barn and own 4-5 snipers before they know whet hit them.
5. Have someone hide BEHIND the barn. They may only get 1 kill per round but they protect the snipers from a rear attack. Make sure to identify who this person is, then, if he dies, have the sniper 2nd closest to the barn turn to cover the closest snipers six. Sorry sniper closest to the barn...you're the bait.

Harvester...Convoy...Terrorists
1. Move the vehicles. Get them out of the spawn point and away from the seals. Leaving convoy trucks at the spawn point=quick seals win
2. Clear the area in front of the barn and around the house. Use grenades, smoke and most importantly, technicals. DO NOT stop the technical or get out because you see a sniper somewhere. Trust me... another sniper sees you seeing him and will own you first. Your job is to drive around like a drunk moron, swerving and running people over. DO NOT give up the technicals to the seals.
3. Smoke out the load zone by the hill and forget about the load zone by the barn. But watch out for mines. Use grenades and possibly a suicide driver (you are terrorists after all) to clear the mines, then drive the convoy in under WHITE SMOKE. Red smoke does not obscure vision enough.
4. Have a passenger in the convoy truck. If the driver gets sniped, he can take over. If the sniper is on the passenger side, he obscures the shot to the driver. Be warned though, sniper rifles will shoot through 2 people. So drunk driving is still the best bet.
5. Believe you can win and take charge of the group. If no one else suggests a plan, then you should. If they don't follow it and die (they will), you at least seem smarter.

One last terrorist tip: If your team has no teamwork and you KNOW you can't win...get your kills up. At the opposite side of the bridge by the spawn point with the convoy trucks there is a tree. Go prone on the left side of it facing the cliff. Own every seal that comes down the path. The mist from the water will obscure you from snipers on the cliff and the tree will protect you from anyone that gets to the house. You can easily go 5-0 here each round if you stay active and watch your lines of fire. Plus, at least you can protect the cargo trucks while your teammates run haphazardly into the clearing in front of the barn.

I hope this helps. Good hunting...

I really like this map a lot, it's one of my favourits considering my clan always plays on it. I like to get the ghillie suit, find a good spot, and burry myself in some grass and snipe with an SR-25, M87, or M82. I'm really good on this map.

Damn, dude....if you don't like the article, then don't say anything. If you're gonna post something about, try to post ways to improve his information or add anythings he may have missed. Don't be sarcastic and flame him. It just makes you look like a jerk. And you must be one because I have seen your other posts around the forums and they are extremely rude towards other users. If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all...jeeze...didn't your mother ever teach you manners?

I cant use thermal well on this map so i use a L96 with long scope or 12x scope and bipod. if u have a gillie and are as good of a sniper as me the L96 is for you. if ur new to sniping i suggest u use the M82 or the M87 because there 1 shot torso kills but again if ur an expert marksman like me use the accurate L96.

This map is a sniper's paradise.

I recommend equipping a weapon that you can multitask with.

For example: M-16 A2 equipped with a Medium/High Scope, and M-203 GL.

Regardless of where you spawn, you are not that far away from the opponent's spawn area (Keep in mind that I'm referring to suppression games. Spawn points will be slightly different, depending on the type of game you play). In fact, you are well within GL range. You can start off by lobbing a few long range GL rounds towards the opponent's spawn. They can be HE, Frag, or Smoke (your choice). If you do it just right, you'll score a few kills (or disorient if you are using smokes), and put the opposing team on a defensive posture right away.

Now it's time to switch the role of your weapon from a 40mm dispenser to a medium range sniper rifle. Try to find a good spot for cover as soon as you can, and start to engage any targets you come across. Remember that the range for the M-16 is 120 meters max, and for any other assault rifle (except for the IW-80) is around 95-100 meters max. It also would be a good idea to keep your weapon on semi-auto. Single shots attract less attention then firing multiple 3-round strings at your target. Save the three round bursts for trying to engage occupied enemy vehicles.
