If you haven't played Socom 2 before it might be worth looking into the Socom 2 Tips and Tactics section. There's lots of highly detailed techniques and strategies on rushing, and tactics in general, that still apply to the game in Socom 3.

Hey guys. Here's one tip in the sniper maps, e.g. Storm Front. If your rushing, make sure you have a gun silenced, also with an M203, or gl-36. And airburst if you're using the M8. This way when you are rushing, and a sniper is on you, frag him with the M203, etc. May not kill him, but it is definitely going to get him to move, giving ou more time to get out of there, or if you're brave, rush right towards the sniper. Seriously, the snipers are bad sometimes, so you need a way to counter them.

The 1 and only tip that is above all the rest for rushing is.......
Run in & .......SPRAY & PRAY BABY!!! SPRAY & PRAY!! :D
yea, that technique works at times. Once I was faced with about 3 tangos and I spray aiming for each of their upper body areas and I killed em all. YEAH!

i agree with the quicksniping thing it is cool, but rushing is the only thing that takes skill in the game.

basically when you do play maps you have to pick your guns appropriately like shotgun for antenora, sniper rifle for harvester ( but you can rush it is very much possible, i am just talking about the majority of people. ), and an automatic for fault, basically if you think about your guns and yer position you'll be fine. But also sometimes you have to chose your postion after your game starts because at many times YOUR SPAWN can choose what you have to do... For example if you have a back spawn in killing fields SNIPE, SNIPE, SNIPE!.... Or if you have the most front spawn in Crucible rush the tunnels not the buttcrack or outside... all you have to do is be smart and thing... EMPTY YOUR MIND and relax... if you die then you die dont get all ***** because the more pissed of you get the more worse your gonna do ( watch the movie " White Men Can't Jump " and you'll understand what im talking about.. But ya all the time be cool, and clam... And your on yer way of *** whooping
PS: have some good eyes for the campers thing around them by tricking them.. you know like throwing a nade at one end coming from behind.. Tell me if you need help. My AIM is PhyscoJr696
EDIT: I have foregot to tell you about accuracy, when your far range please always tap your assualt rifle.. and i have noticed if you jump and shoot with an assualt rifle it is sometimes 95% accurate for some reason..

I rush with a sniper rifle, not all snipers have to camp.
