i like to carry a model 18 SD so that i can at least begin to compete in short range auto fire spray with an auto rifle toting seal. if i have to. this gun is almost like an HK at urban combat ranges. wicked uncontrollable spray, that is, mass accidental headshots.

I think the medium scope is worth it. ( I know it goes on the M14 and Ak47, they were the only guns I tried out last night.) You see the med scope is 3x's and 8x's.

Try playing around with claymores. There funny as hell to use too. :D Usualy when sniping with the ghille suit, people run right over you or by you. So the other night I set up a claymore behind me(facing me, but with some distance between us). The guy was running towards my direction. So when he passed me I hit the switch. and boom. The thing was I didn't place it far away enough. So I was knocked out for a coulpe seconds.

I have noticed that when scoped out you turn wicked slow and have trouble tracking vehicles. Is there a way to turn faster to track the vehicles?

they have different weights (diff. effects on your total loadout)
and they magnify differently. im not sure of how many x's each one pulls (other then the 12x scope, duh)

12x and 4x are self explainitary. The low scope has a zoom of 1.5x and 3.0x. The high scope has a zoom of 6.0x 10.0x and 16.0x. There is also a medium scope that is unlocked by beating single player in commander mode, it has a zoom of 3.0x and 8.0x.

For people having a hard time tracking vehicles:

Go to Options (offline) and set your controler presets to sailor. The turnspeed is fast, the acceleration (how fast you reach top turning speed) is fast aswell, and the deadzone (the smaller you have it, the less you have to move your analog stick to start turning) is small, so its the perfect layout for all you snipers out there. Rember with the .50 cals, you can shoot through car doors and even through the latch of the tank, so that turret hog can get whats coming to him

I have been testing alot of different rifles of the late, but one puzzles me. The M87ELR and M82A1A both use .50 BMG ammo (if you don't know what im talking about, its a 50 cal round capable of making a hole the size of a croquet ball in your car). What puzzles me is that the LA69W uses the same ammo, but it takes two shots to kill. Even if it happens to have a different muzzle velocity (which it dosent), it would still kill in one shot. I know the M87 and M82 are anti-material, but with a .50 cal round, the LA69W should be an OSOK (one shot, one kill)!

To get back on topic, one thing i advise to everyone is to get good with the SR-25 and SASR (aka a Drugunov). Even without a silencer, both are extreemly deadly and very steady. As an added plus, you can carry extra equipment like Claymores and mines

On a final note, i would like to add a pistol preferance. To me, the best hangun on SEALs is the 226. As nutty as it sounds, its wicked fast and very powerful, which makes it good in the hands of a pro. For Terr, i usualy take out an F57, which also got a significant upgrade in stopping power. The DE is to innacurate, and the Model 18 is sooooo random, although its funny as 5h!t to smack a silencer on it and come up behind a camping sniper.

I would like to thank everyone for contributing to this thread, and i encourage everyone to keep adding. See you online... :P

**EDIT 11:32 AM**
I just rembered a tip fot those of you snipers that like Tidal Fury. As we know, its a snipers worst nightmare :a completely medium range map, with no really big streaches. Instead of going with an AR, take out an SR or SASR and smack a silencer on it with thermal. Its a bit heavyer, but its worth it if you have a Guille suit. That all for now

Every sniper knows that when you snipe someone in the body without M87ELR or M82A1A (cheap snipers) it only takes about half health then the victim hides behind a rock, tree, small fence, etc. Then you can't get a shot on him, do one of the following:

1. Shoot around the object the SEAL or Terrorist is hiding behind. (Not on it or that might reveal your position).

2. Get a fellow sniper to snipe him if he is at a different position then you. (I recommend that you get a spotter or a sniper partner).

3. If your close enough or high enough throw a grenade. (not recommended).

4. Just wait if your a true sniper.

Note: It is recommended that you use a suppresed or a non-loud sniper rifle.
How are the m87 and m82 cheap? Personally, I don't use them, but when I have I don't really consider how fast my enemy wants to die....I don't think anyone really would.....

Don't worry, people always want to think whatever they use makes them very skilled and others are un skilled.
