Saving Enemy Weapons
Thought i'd post this because it seems most players still don't know this handy little trick.
You can save enemy weapons to your custom saves.
Only works on Combined Assault, NOT Socom 3.
So here's how.
Kay, say your like me. Love the Seals, but hate Seal weapons. Here's what you do. Play a map, any map. Say Citadel. Kill a terroist and pick up say his 552.
Now you have to survive the round to retain any weapon you pick up that round. (Obviously, just a note for the extra special newb)
Next round, leave the game and come right back. Select the character you where just using and the gun you just picked up will still be there. Now all you have to do is hit ''Save Customs''.
And now you will always have that gun on that character on Citadel.
Now repeat the process for every map.
Now you can finish the game before saving if you want, as long as the very next game you go into is the same map. If you leave or finish and go back into a different map, then you lost you chance to save the gun.
And you have to rinse and repeat.
Now bear this kink in mind.
When you initially go to get your new gun. You want to use a character that does not have a previous custom save load. You want to hit ''Restore Defaults'', then ''Save Custom'' to a different character, then go back to the original character you want to use, and green up without saving any customs.
Other trick, seems to work best on new accounts. I first did this on an old account with previous custom saves, and the 552 always fell out of my armory after I logged out.
But then I did it with a brand spanking fresh account.
And well........
I've had a 552 and a Model 18 saved to my Seal Character on every map running over 4 months now.
So make a new account, and don't do any ''Restore Defaults'' or ''Save Customs'' til you get the enemy weapons you want. Then just save it and your good to go.
Enjoy.
Read carefully again if you need to.
Feel free to ask me to rephrase any part your not understanding.
Remember only works on CA... NOT S3.
Combined Assault is down to $20 new, you can afford it.
Happy Killing.
