Reason for camping
It's no surprise that people have camped their way through S3 and CA, while in S1 and S2 gameplays and style of play was more of a..rush, in your face style of play..so what made the play style change so drastically from one game to the other?

The reason is simple: lack of confidence. There's been plenty of times where a team has outnumbered the other, and still camped it out to get the win even when they had numbers. The same goes for those 1 on 1's, where you have 1 survivor from each team to duke it out at the end of the round..only they don't duke it out, they just pick their spot and hopelessly wait for that 1 guy to come running by, or to just wait until the round ends to get a draw. I could go on and on, but it's all the same whether it comes to suppression, planting the bomb on demolition, and so on. If people built up their confidence and kept it up you can go in and win easily..it's how I "succeeded" when I played this game. I obviously die from any single one person on the other team, but you always have it in your mind that you know you can kill him, you know where he's going to go next round, and you know that you should be playing better than that. You always go back for more and are confident that you can kill him before he gets you. You know you can win any gunfight, even if you're stuck in red health and the other guy has full green. You know you can get a kill or 2 when you're the only one left and you have to take out 2 or more people of their team. When you don't have this confidence, you really think to yourself, "man can I really kill him?" or "I can't kill him" , "I can't win this" so on and so forth. This lack of confidence will obviously come if you're new to the game, but as you play it more you get more familiar with the maps, the ins and outs of the guns, nade spots, and the overall playstyle of the game you're in, like where all the action goes down..

So if you agree with that, what do you think caused this sudden lack of confidence?

If you don't agree, what's your own stance?

i'm not so sure that this need to camp derives from a lack of confidence. Maybe it does.. but theres more reasons as to why people camp.

I've asked a few people why they camp.. and most of the time i'm fed that "thats how real navy seals play" bullcrap. they pull the realistic card on me and my only response to that is: the ENTIRE came is unrealistic if you think about it. The concept of being able to come back to life after dying? Carryng around 30 pound weapons and at the same time being able to run at full speed, jump and carry other miscellaneous items around. The game as a whole is unrealistic if you break it down properly.

Then I was fed the "well i didn't want to risk dying and losing the round" crap. What ever happened to people's sense of adventure? Their sense of risk? Why not run around and try to find your opposition instead of sitting behind a wall or a rock for two minutes boring the hell out of your teammates.

The lack of confidence is a logical possibility as to why people camp and i do agree with it, though. What I think caused it is camping itself. Some people either aren't skilled enough or are just too afraid to rush because theres always that possibility that the ghille suit/suppressor wh๘re is hiding somewhere waiting for you to run by. So really it's just camping on the camper.

what 30lbs weapon? We wore about 60lbs of gear and had to run full speed in training and that was bct, so how is that not possible with an elite unit?

I feel that people don't wanna risk dieing(sp?) and lose the round, so they pick a nice corner of the map that they know people frequent and wait for the easy kill. i cant stand it. i will be running around for 2 mins looking for 1 guy and then with 20seconds to go i get shot in the back from the grass. its so ridiculous

Like Harvester. Your looking for that last guy and then they just wait in the grass with a gillie untill you pass by and then shoot you in the back. It sucks.

I would like to thank you for the Homing Nades code. A few nights ago I hit the camping Mexican Clumzy like 5 times in a row.

Most people camp because they're looking for easy kills. I rarely see camping, in any game, used for anything else.

Teamkilling is the most effective way to deal with this scurge.
