Map Packs and CA

I have Socom Combined Assault as some of you know, and have purchased the Map packs. I had them on my iPod mini from the times of S3, and they worked fine. I successfully downloaded and played them through the iPod on S3 and for a while on SCA as well. then I had to clear my iPod and reformat it, and reload all the songs etc. Then , when I went to download the map pack again through CA it didn't recognise the storage device. I haven't tried going back through S3 and downloading it there, but I have tried reformatting my iPod, dumping the music, tried it empty, formatted it to my PC, that didn't work either (I have a Mac)... anyone have any ideas other than going through S3?

I'm on the verge of just running out to the store and getting a 5 dollar flash drive, but I'm wondering if anything else will work to make my iPod work?

Sometimes if there is alot of other USB devices plugged in it can't read the ipod the right way, that could be it. I know if I had my dazzle plugged into my computer I couldn't move files to my PSP or to my IPOD.

hmmm... maybe I'll try disconnecting the headset before I log in next time, I never thought of that. Thanks!
