this guy told me this story about him playin socom so much that his girlfriend got annoyed. i mean he cancelled dates with her to be in his scheduled ladder matches. one day while he was in a ladder match war his gf was over at the time. she said either you stop playing your game right now or im leaving you. his clan mates were sayin on the mic cmon dude were up lets win this. dumb kid said this to his gf if you dont like me playin socom then get out of my house and my life.

my girlfriend doesnt mind cause i have 2 tvs while im playing she is watching tv. but most of the time when she is over i stop playing.

If video games constantly interfere with your outside life in any way, you have a problem. Giving up a social life, and especially a relationship with the opposite sex, for a video game is ridiculous.

I agree with you 100%... the first thing I thought of after reading his story was "what a loser... sounds like someone needs to get out of the house".

I definitly agree... although my situation is reversed.. My wife bought me a ps3 and a 360 for valentines day because she wanted to be able to play together. She calls me from work and even sometimes says how she cant wait to get home from work so she can play socom with me.. I have it the best... She hates outside in the summer cause its sooooo hot.. She would rathar sit here and play socom every day in the ac. So thats what we do.. BALLIN

if you think that was bad a man once told me that he lost his wife his kids and his house because of this game. he called in sick so many times to stay home and play. his wife got annoyed and tried to get him into rehab. he refused that. so they are now seperated and now he has been fired from his job. he couldnt get pay the mortgage. his wife got custody of the kids. he now lives with his friend whom is also a socom junkie.

Some people get addicted to video games like its a drug. I don't play Socom at all anymore and I don't miss it. Even if I did though I wouldn't play if my girlfriend came over. Thats kind of a **** move. You are to spend time with her not the game. I would rather get my **** wet then play with my socom buddies! No offense
