When people jumpsnipe they teleport sometimes...why is this? Someone told me it was because of them zooming in while in mid air. When I went into quicksniping rooms the hardest part was trying to zoom in on them when they teleported...I complained about it in the lobby they said I was doing it too. They also said most jumpsnipers "lag" when they jump and zoom. I've seen it and know it's true but is it the zooming part or is it just jumping?
It's just jump lag. It's been around since Socom 1, but it wasn't very noticeable in S1. I haven't played S2 enough to know how often it happens, but I've been told people jump just because it makes them lag.
I personally don't see too many QSers that teleport during the jump.

SOCOM lags, in case you didn't notice. It has nothing to do with scoping. When you jump, you usually skip around in mid air. Same as if you fall, or if you climb something.
I've only noticed a few players teleporting when they jump, most have been jumpsnipers. As for Socom 1 when you jumped it did create lag. Oh I also found out you can scope in mid air on socom 2 but you couldn't move, you are stuck in one spot while in mid air. On CA you can move when you jump in mid air. This game is kind of stupid when you think about it.

Funny how people have said that at least 20 times in this thread alone...
And just because you couldn't move your crosshairs while in midair in S2 doesn't mean that nobody jump-sniped, it just took more skill because you had to know where your crosshairs would fall after jumping.

It's luck, and skill. I was one of the founders of the Jumpsniping with KiLoZ. KiLoZ, and I were in a crucible game when he jumped sniped someone off the tanks on the first day of the game. Word went around gb, then pubbies, then every single person in the game till it got to the point where the noobs like oxford could do it.
