Oh man am I glad i came on here. Ive trying for about an hour, and cant get on. It verifies DNAS, but wont go any father than that. I seriously thought i got banned or something lol. (I have a zipper employee on my friends list that was joking around about it). So i thought maybe he was playin with me.

Any ideas on what might be going on? Servers down?

Yeah, it seems pretty random. Half of my clan couldn't get on at all, but the rest said they had no problem with it. I'm gonna give it another go this morning.

I'm totally running through the modem, still does'nt work. It's got to be the servers.

haha ive been talking to tech support guys all morning, first i started talking to my ISP seeing if maybe they could point me in the right direction with router and all, then after about an hour and half with one tech we figured out my internet wasnt working due to 2 MAC addresses saved in my modem, then after that was fixed there was still no fix, so then we tryed resetting every thing (Computer, ps2, modem, router) for half hour, just to find nothing was better, he then referred me to LinkSys tech support (i obivously use a linksys router) and apreanytly they have no idea what they are talking about, shortly after i find out that they FWD you to some where in india i cant remember the name, i couldnt understand any thing the so called tech said, so then i call a techie i know, and he basically tells me its my router and i need to buy a new one, just after a buddy of mine gets online on another game... Needless to say sony needs to get on top of things mighty quick

So I thought may be it was my update file on my memory card, so I deleted it thinking it could be corrupted or something. It wont even let me download a new update. It's nothing to do with your home set up. It has to be the servers and nothing else. Sometimes I get as far as the actual sever but then shortly times out and disconnects me. I keep getting random server error codes like (2) and (3. May be someone hacked the mainframe?

Very frustrating!!
I also notice that there are people online and there are rooms to join, but it seems as if I'm a ghost and can't do anything.
