Socom Problem (I'm looking for a Specific Answer)

(Please excuse my laziness for not searching for this question ad answer before)

Ok so anyway I was playing a game of Prowler and after a few rounds in the game we start getting shot through the tank. The side I was on accused my fellow clan member (He was on SEAL's I was a Terrorist) of glitching. I tried to explain that the only reason he was shotting us through the tank was because even though we didn't see ourselves standing in place while the tank twas in motion the SEAL's could still see us running in place and shoot us at he tank spawn. Now I blamed this whole issue on the fact that there was lag in the room.

I for one don't know the real reason why this occurred like it did. I was host and nothing really seemed like it was lagging and I know my connection can handle me playing as host (I have Comcast Cable internet connection, hard lined into my PS2).

So I'm proposing this question to the fellow forum readers...

Why was my team mate able to shoot through the tank and kill us making it look like we died in the tank from his shot?

It was most likely lag. I myself have been shot in the tank and this occurs when the game doesn't recongize you in the vehicle. It shows you standing somewhere, and you get shot.

I like when for some reason you can't see the vehicles, and it looks like someone is sitting a foot off the ground and floating around when actually they are driving a vehicle. Its always good for a chuckle.

Whenever someone gets in a vehicle you can't see, it looks like they're floating in the air where they entered the vehicle. If they get out, they teleport to where they really are.
