Socom CA rebooting
Does anyone know why my Socom CA game keeps rebooting after a game finishes?
note: All my other games play fine, and it's a new disk

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday. It was my third game of the day. The two games I played before ended fine, the third ended and I found myself at the opening of the game. Kinda sucked but it happens every now and again. I don't think it is because of a disk issue as I have had this happen before. Not a serious issue less it happens every time. If not just reset and get back to shooting. Holla

I rarely get the end of the game boot..
but i have notices that "Network Cable Disconnected" has been appearing more frequently that it used to on socom ca.. probably because I moved the tv recently...

It could be your internet connection. I used to get booted during the loading process/in game about 1/3 of the time. But then I upgraded my internet and it stopped happening. It might happen every now and then (every 20 or so games), but it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be.
Oh, and I'm playing it on my PS3, so maybe that has an affect also.

My bet is on an internet provider issue... not a matter of playing a game on a PS2 or PS3... that really wouldn't have much to do with the situation he is running into.

Its both your ps2 and the disk. Mine used to do every 5 minutes so I cleaned the disk and my ps2. Also it helps to push the laser circley thing all the way back as far as it will go. Mine reboots like every other week now.

What's wrong with the tacos? Why do people compare this to other stuff? Why makes it special? I haven't eat tacos for 3 years. I might try to eat again. It's good though.

I dont know about moving the parts around in the ps2. Its such cheap plastic and thin metal you may bend or loosen something, creating slop in moving parts and that might make things worse..
clean your disc
use a laser lens cleaner or alcohol & a swab
check your internet & change cables..

If you're using DSL, switch. When I had DSL I often couldn't talk during games, lagged around, and got booted a lot. I switched to FiOS and it is much better. I reccomend upgrading to cable or fiber optic cable.
