Hi everyone

I used to play Socom 2 online a few years ago and got decent at it, but stopped playing video games for a while...

Now I'm back online and just picked up Socom 3, and absolutely suck! It's really frustrating, I feel like I'm the #1 worst player online in a game full of experts.

I know what to do to get better, and am not actually hoping to gain anything out of this thread except for maybe finding out that one or two others out there are also "just starting out"....cause I can't play to save my life now and man is it frustrating...

Socom 3 doesn't really require any skill. Sometimes guys take a 100 bullets to kill them sometimes you shoot a random bullet 5 ft over their head and they drop like rocks. Now granted if you're a little more skilled you can try to put a few more bullets in the guy and pray the hit detection works good enough to get the guy to drop. While i was trying to develope my shooting skills early on in Socom 3 i used the rifle laser every game. I really think it makes it easier to keep your focus of putting the cross hairs on the guys head/torso, instead of getting scared and shooting at the guys feet/knees.

Play in Small Map Respawns, you will have alot of action which will allow you to get your Aim back, it also will allow you to learn the small map part of the Map.
