Hello, First of all Im new here and sorry if this is old news. I recently stopped playing socom after 3 came out but I was thinking of starting up agian. Anywho Zipper interactive anounced SOCOM 4 it is suppose to have all the old maps and have more classical gameplay like the other socoms like 1 and 2 which in my opinion are the best games ever created anyways here you go enjoy.
There is also widespread speculation that the SOCOM series will deviate from its third person format to a first person format for the first time, using a FPS engine based loosely on that of Half Life.
If this is true and they switch to first person format it wont be good. I think a majority of the players like the third person format. This is just my opinion but feel free to add yours
Uhh...why post Wikipedia as your source of information when it can be edited by anyone to anything they see fit? It's not reliable. Find a concrete site like an actual gaming site.
And I think we all know that Socom wouldn't be half of what it is if it wasn't third-person view.
if they get rid of the 3rd person, i prally would quit, cuz its the only thing that makes it socom. Besides, theres otherway better 1st person shooters
