Hey for all us people that dont have the pleasure to be on the game all day and all night need some help. Now im not saying I suck but if you dont play the game alot you kinda loose it a little. So what im asking is for some tips or advice on how to play better online. Like tips on how to aim or what gun you use etc. Share the love help us part time players get up to speed with all you hardcore killas, besides ita make the game better no? Now i have one or two I'll share that I found out work for me

1: With an assault gun I'll aim above there head because 9-10 times when someone is getting shot they jump, and boom there you go head shot. ( I only do this when they know there getting shot not when they are unaware of you)

2: When in a situation you and another are at close range and running in circles, jumping trying to kill each other, what I do is just stop moving get my bearings and I can easily kill the other guy much better.

Well these might not be great tips but its all I got, thats why im posting this thread, if I had more wont need to. So share the love

I gotta disagree,I aim low and let the gun recoil knock the barrel up into a headshot(of which I have many)and when running around the best thing to do I think is find cover, any cover for a sec or two to gain the upper hand. Also I pack the minimum equipment so I have a step on a guy carrying mines or nades and ****.Whenever I carry more equipment(except when siniping)I feel like a walking bulls-eye.Another tactic I like to use is quick-switch to grenades as I am retreating and an enemy is following me I drop a few and then start shooting again. With the exception of elite players most people run right into a banked or short tossed nade.I have said too much already.

Arrow
Blueninja,
Always keep in mind that they have a specific section in the "Dedicated Socom Forums", known as "Socom Tips, Tactics, and Strategy Guide General Tips and/or 'Tricks of the Trade' and the Socom Strategy Guide." There are many former Socom 3 Players that know what it takes to make a good Guide, so maybe you might possibly find what you're looking for in that catagory?

I'm not so sure about your last tip. Stopping may increase your accuracy, but when I'm in a gunfight, and I see my opponent stop moving and just stand still, my eyes light up. Nothing is easier to hit than a stationary target.

If it works for you, that's cool, but by now, my aim is good enough that I can be moving like crazy and still hit my target when necessary.

I have to agree with the person that likes to aim low and let the recoil get you the headshot. Of course, I ususally snipe.

If you are having a problem aiming just put a rifle laser and front grip on your gun.

I've actually amazed people with the HK36 when I use that combo. They can't believe I'm going full auto and am hitting people that are easily 70m away.

Here's a handy tip to all gunners:

If you're having trouble aiming, lower your look speed, just because your settings are 100, 100, 50 doesn't mean you'll become invincible. Lower lookspeed imo is much better, i have 25, 35, 40 and i like that much better than my old 100, 100, 50, plus i can still quicksnipe like I used to

Find out what works best for you. I personally prefer the Idub and the stg, but others like the m4 and 552. Also find out whether you like hte rifle laser or front grip. I have found out that the rifle laser for me is better, but the majority thinks the front grip is better. Again go by preference, not what some dude tells you.

Finally, before you start going on ur rampage, I'd suggest getting "warmed up" in a respawn room for 10 mins and you'll do much better when you play in ur gb war or pubby room. But don't lose sleep and just play respawn all day to get better. Too much will eventually hurt your gunning AND sniping.

hope this helps all of you needing that headshot
