Question
I have tried all mic fixs in this forum and still nothing. Would getting a brand new mic work. I have tried literally everything. Some guy told me to plug my modem into my ps2 and make a network config with it plugged in and try to get online. Does anyone have any solutions that work and your positive that they do please posth them. Also would a new mic work?

Getting a new mic will most likely solve the problem. If you go that route then purchase one mentioned on these boards that is known to work. However, if you don't want to buy a new one, what brand are you using now? There may be a fix that isn't mentioned here or that isn't as elaborate.

If it says there are 6 mics on your team and when yoiu hold down circle to talk and nothing happens such as not hearing any thing then your mic is broken but if it says there are 0 mics in the room then there is some thing wrong with the connection. If your not familiar with your firewalls call your internet provider or router provider such as linksys, call them... tell them your problem and they will tell you the firewall which accesses your mic. Hope this helps.

wow they havent closed this one yet?......Have you tried using your mic on a different game that can use voice chat.....or single player version?......more than likely it is your connection not being configured correctly......or your modem/router needs a firmware update

If it works on other games, then its not your mic.

If you have tried every router solution, then it must be the disc, trust me, I'v had the same problem, all I had to do was use a different socom disc and my mic worked.

All you have to do, is go to blockbuster, rent socom, and switch disk .
