I'm sure they make adapters at Radioshack or somewhere to make them longer.

That's not a problem, my mom just calls me on my cell phone... it makes it easier than yelling from floor to floor.

what you can do, is buy a "female" jack. i play guitar so i use them. its basically a jack with open ends on each end. so you can plug your headphones into one end, and plug a cord into the other end and vuala (spelling) you have an extension.

I tried it and it was great, except for the fact that I had to sit like right infront of the tv, and no im not going ot buy no extensions when i can get a sound from my tv almost as good.

My tv is relatively new (an Akai hi-def) and it doesn't have a headphone jack.

Actually, I do this too and you can still use it perfectly. The only downside to this is the fact its a little uncomfortable to be wearing both. Your other option is to put the left ear piece in and leave out the right.

VOILA

um.... on newer tv's, you know the composite cable of the ps2 (the red, white, and yellow cable). Well on most tv's, they have inputs on the back... and for some lucky people on the front of the tv as well. If you hve those tri-color inputs on the front of the tv (maybe just 2 colors) then the headphone jack should be around there somewhere (maybe). Might not, not all of us are fortunate.

Hmmmm... That's weird. I have a Vizio HD and it has a headphone jack right by the S-video port. (On the side) My t.v. is less than a week old, so I guess things have changed recently.
