Been playing socom 3 since January. It didn't take me more than a month or so to get pretty decent.

Socom series or just S3? I'll go by the series. I've been playing socom for about 3 and a half years. Didn't play much of S2 at all, then got back in it with S3.

Diablo PC ( Long Ago )

Socom 2 a year after its release was the first online console game I've ever played . Then, Socom 3 came out in Oct , So I guess around 3 Years.

Don't worry, you were better than me when I first started out. I started out in November playing respawns for about a month. One dreadful respawn that I remember I went 4-52, and that was without spawn camping. I never really was very good, and I always had respawns with similar scores to that one.

So I got verified in January and joined a clan, and somehow that's what got me to play my best. For the last 3 months I've been playing quite a bit, still sticking to my respawn games (which help a lot), and now I have to say I'm pretty damn good.

So just keep playing and in a few months you'll be at the top in no time.

3 Years? S2 came out Nov. 4 2003. You got it a year later. Lets say around X-Mas. Thats Dec. 2004. You've only been playing for about a year and a half then man. Unless you aquired S2 earlier then you thought. No clue where you add another year and so.

I have been playing online gaming for about 2 years but its not really how good you are A game. Its all about how quickly you can pick up a new game. If I get a new game I play single player get used to the controls then hop online. I am just a naturaly good gamer. I can pick up a game I have never played before. Suck at it for about 10 minutes, get the hang of it and kick ***. First game I played online was Splinter Cell Pandora Tommorrow. I kicked *** at the game. I was ranked in the top 100. Sadly I would get up get on at around 7:30am and play all day till around 10pm (with some snack breaks). I became obsessed with the game its all I did that summer. I was one of the best in the game but I wasted A LOT of time on it. I believe it was that same year that I got socom 2 and I became obsessed with that. Splinter Cell lost its popularity with only around 20 people on a day so I became a socom 2 guro. I became extremly good at the game because of the vast amounts of time I spent on it. After that summer I said I would never let myself play that much again and I havn't. I play every now and then, however when I do play I still can play all day saying "ahh one more hour" 6 hours later I actually get off. Games can be very fun but they can also consume your life. When I play I force myself to get off so I can break the habbit of wanting to play all day. There are so many more things in this world to see and do than play video games. Enjoy the games but also enjoy the rest of life.

Now back on the issue of you suckyness the problem is that most people on the game are extremly good players. You get killed and you don't know how they did it. Like quick sniping if you never have played socom before and you get sniped like that you are going to be baffeled.

Don't get discouraged you will get better over time if you are not naturaly good at the game. Play some respawn rooms and get the hang of the guns and how the game works. Once you get to know the maps you can begin to think like the other team like where would I hide if I was on that side.

I've been playing Socom since Socom1. I started to play S3 in December because I stopped Socom up untill Dec. I verified my account a day or so after I got the game. My advise, learn the maps a.s.a.p. Then you will be able to predict where the enemy is going.
