Network Adaptor Fried?

Last night lighting struck around my house and 2 tv's got fried. Today i went to go play socom3 online and it keeps telling me my network cable is disconnected. i went and bought a new cat6 cable thinking thats the problem. This is the first time ive tried since my tv fried. my ps2 works fine and they where plugged into the same surge protector. has anyone had this happen to them? i just dont want to go to bestbuy to buy another adaptor.

You might try removing and reinstalling it.

I got a free one from a friend that was supposedly fried by a power surge (the surge killed his tv, but not his ps2). After the surge, he would get the network cable disconnected message.

I installed it in one of my ps2's and it has worked fine for over a year.

He bought a new one, and it works fine in his ps2.

1. You said your TVs got fried does that mean they no longer work ????
2. My power got ZzZzZzZapped Yesterday and when I tried to get back online later , it would stall at the DNAS screen and give me an {Error-612}
Check your Configuration......Yada Yada Yada
I'm by no means a computer genius.

I Shut Down My Computer, and unplugged the power from my Modem and my Router, Waited 3 Minutes. then, turn my computer back on followed by the Router and the Modem. Like I said I'm no genius, just my 2 1/2 cents

When the popup box comes up (if there is one) don't press anything. Let it load and it should work, if it's the same problem I had. It basically loads what it usually does, just with the little popupbox there.
