Help No Comms

please help me!

for the past week my comms have not worked.

i have tried all the usual things.

1. checked all the relevant ports are open on my wag54g.

2. made sure the headphones switched on within the game software.

3. checked the headphones work normally with other games such as burnout revenge.

i am now at a loss and its spoiling my enjoyment of the game.

the other night the comms suddenly sprung into life for an hour or two mid game.

any suggestions gratefully recieved.

same here

Well the only thing i can tell u is to be patient. Because that used to happen to me. Some nights it wouldnt work at all and others it would just come on mid game and after an our or so go back off. But now it works everytime i enter a game and if it doesnt it takes like 2 rounds. *knocks on wood* IT lasted for me like ever since it ca,me out lol so that is all the advice i can give u.

Same thing happened to me. I couldn't hear anything one day so I decided to just re-set the PS2 and lo and behold my mic worked after.

If I were you, I would take out the disk, turn off the PS2 all the way, blow off the disk wipe it with a clean silky/soft cloth. Then turn off your router and modem and let them sit without power for a good 20 minutes. Turn the MODEM back on let that sit for ATLEAST 5 minutes then turn the router back on. Let that sit for a couple minutes. Turn the PS2 back on. Put the disk in and try socom.

I have no idea whats up with that, it does that to me too, it shows like 0 in the corner instead of the number of people on the channel, so I can't hear or talk.

Thats what happened to me. I could see people talking but there was a 0 in the lower corner showing that no one had mic's. The simple restart of the PS2 fixed the problem though.

Try what I said in my other post though that might help.
