connection problem on s3

so i just recently downloaded the map pack for socom, and ever since i cannot play for more than 1 round in ANY map.


No matter what map i play im always getting booted back to the screen where it asks you to press X if you have downloaded socom updates etc.

No this has started ever since i got the map packs downloaded onto my harddrive and it has never done this before

ive tried everything to fix it, and im out of ideas

any input would help guys, maybe someone can help me with this

ya my buddy kown here just posted this for ME, im actually the one with the issue, but he described it pretty well. im pretty upset and cannot solve this riddle. any help would be so welcome i cant even put it into words!

Ever sinse i Purchased and downloaded the map packs i cant even ****ing get online it says Authinticating dnas data and it freezes WTF ZIPPER U GUYS SUCK ****

ya...i dled the maps to my hdd and last night amoungst other things i tried taking out the hdd ergo not accessing the map pack i dled and play without the hdd in but somehow it worked even LESS! i dont even know what to do now.

go on your memory card where the patch is stored........delete it and redownload it......maybe it got corrupted......If you purchased and went through the steps it has to be something goofy with the patch download........good luck bro

but wont i then lose ALL my s3 data??

im afraid tahts the last resort as well but id lose so much data, all teh skins, guns, etc.

ok so im at the end of my rope.

nothing works, ive deleted everything off cards, and the hdd. ive started the game without the hdd even in the ps2. nothing works. it constantly boots me back to the main menu. i think its the ps2 at this point...im gonna try to get a can of compressed air and spray the **** out of it but i have no other option if that fails but to buy a new ps2.

No....you have 2 socom files on your memory card.....one is the game data and the other is the patch data......delete the patch data....you wont loose anything on the game....

ya...tried that...still didnt work.

i dont know what could be the issue at this point.
