Connection Problem with ps2

I know this is probably the wrong section but i am having some problems with connecting to socom 3. I havent been online in awhile but i was super excited when i found out the new maps were out, and i went to go online, and it said my ethernet cord is disconnected. I tried a different cord and the same thing happened so i was angry. I used a disc cleaner and that didnt help. So i'm askin yall if anyone has a solution, if not thanks anyway

What specifically does it say when you're trying to connect?

That is common. Sometimes it happens to me 2-3 times and then I get on. When you get the message just back out and keep logging in until you connect - Your cables aren't dissconected.

I get this sometimes, like Red said it is very common.

Sometimes though if your lucky, the game still logs on if you dont press "X" when the message comes up.

I just dont press "X" and it logs on perfectly with no errors to follow or anything like that, sometimes though it is your connection but most of the time its just the server doing what it does best, nothing.

My solution probably wasnt the one that helped but your welcome.

Any more problems and you should find the asnwer around here somewhere, its just a little hard because some people like to flame rather than help out.

Even though you have a solution, next time try this..if the message pops up, reset the game, and right before you connect to the internet, wiggle the ethernet cable around (both the port on the back of your ps2, and the side going into your router/modem). I used to get this message a lot when I would go on Socom 2, and I would wiggle the cable around and it would work fine. Sometimes it would happen on Socom 3 and this would work. If the wiggling doesn't work, then actually hold your ethernet cord in the back of your PS2. Find a spot where it feels it should be like it would be nice and snug, and just hold it there while your PS2 is connecting..once you get to the DNAS you can let go and it will work.
