For the Patch, I guess it was the memory card. For the Maps it was the HDD. I think that I read that some others that were using the HDD had some similar issues. Lats night I got to play 2 rounds in a row on Last Bastion, after I redownloaded the maps, but the on Liberation I got booted about 10 seconds into the first round. Do you think it is the patch?

Do you think it is the patch that corrupted it, and are you having similar issues to mine?

I had the same problem I forgot what I did to fix it, but that was a long time ago. Try using a fresh memory card, I had a similar problem when coming back to Socom 2, I cleared one of my memory cards and it worked.

I was wondering because all my buddies that live in the area all use the fatty PS2 HDD , and they're having no problems . I'm using the my PSP and between rounds there's a strange sound during loading, and it only happens on these new maps. If your getting booted in the maps , but are still getting in nonetheless, maybe the map download itself was corrupted ???

What it is, I dont know.. but if someone has a solution to this..please.. share it with us. I know im not the only one.
It seems that you and I , and Loud Assasin, are having the exact same problems. I am starting to belive that the patch Effed^^ my playstation. Has anyone contacted Sony about this problem? I have the day off tomorrow, and I will be royally pizzed if I cant try the new maps, ( I have not tried to play regular Socom 3 maps since the new maps have come out. I wonder if they are EFFED^^^ as well ). Thank god for the bag of Hydro I picked up the other day, or I would murder someone.

After I got booted from the room I was in with you guys last night, I re-downloaded, they appeared to work for about 2 rounds, then BAM ps2 freezes and restarts. I downloaded the maps again ( 3rd time ) last night, but did not try them again. Hopefully tonight I will have beter luck.

Help !

Whats up guys, new here, big problem.

I have a 32mb usb flash drive, didnt work so I went out and bought a 256mb one. I went into the socom store, purchased the mappack. Now when i go to download, it tells me "Error writing file. Please ensure an HDD or USB storage device with at least 16342 KB free space is inserted." Now I have my 256mb flash drive in there and its not recognizing it i guess? I also have a 40 GB maxtor HD that I had in there but took it out because my HD Loader disc is messed up .

If anyone has an suggestions for this problem, it is greatly appreciated.

Aim= xvr11 if anyone wants to speak directly to me if you do not wish to post here.

Thanks !
