Changing Password at Socom3 Online

Ok its officail Sony and Zipper have finally implemented a way for you to change or retrieve a lost password. Just got http://Sony.scea.com and enter in the name you lost the password for then click lost my password. You will be prompted to answer your secret question.

They will email you a temporary password for you to login with. Once logged in goto edit my account and change your password. I dont know if you need to hit update profile, but I would anyway. You should get a confirmation email saying your password was updated.

I was able to login to Socom 3, which I have not been able to do for months with that name.

If you're referring to Socom3.com, then the answer is no. This site is not affiliated with SCEA or Zipper, and is run by a community of awesomeness.

If you're referring to Socom3.SCEA.com, I don't know. I don't believe anyone has asked this before, so do us a favor and try it out.

Otherwise, there is no known way to reset, change, or retrieve a Socom 3 user name's password.

Yeah im talking about the official Socom3.scea.com site to check stats and clan mail, etc.
There in an option to change your password and a way to get a new one if you forgot your old one. You just type in the account name and answer your secret questions and they send you a temp password.

Yeah but it will not email you your password. It sends a new one then you have to login to change it.

Ive done this a few times, logged in, changed my password, then tested it. Worked once, then logged back in and it told me login failure.

When I try to go to http://socom3.scea.com/ I get the HTTP 403 (Forbidden) Error saying that I am not authorized to view this page. Is anyone else having the same problem?

I have had to use Mozilla Firefox to get to the site.

It now allows me to login to the site, which i have not been able to do for months with my one name. I will check if it allows me in game as well and post an update. If this works, then Sony and Zipper have finally come up with a way to change or recover/reenter lost passwords.

Yep its there. On the main screen where you log into your account. On the bottom in big letter "Forget your password?"


Great addition to this game. This is going to help a lot of people. Less "CAN I GET MY PASSWORD" threads.
