IMO the airburst and 203's and such are ok in open areas, if there is prone snipers on harvester and you don't know were they are at, you should be able to go and launch 203's at them. On the other side though, if I am in citadel and I see someone in the red room and they shoot me with one and they are at like 10 m's away then I get mad. Also if they spawn camp in respawns. The machine guns don't bother me unless friendly fire is off and they just like run in a line like they do on fault all the time.

you guys are right on the money-You nor does anyone else have the right to say which guns they can use. I don;t listen to anyone in regards to what weapons I use unless the room is already restricted. No i am not that fond of GL's but in the right situation they are very handy. I also have been known to kill myself when using them so i do tend to stay away. But i will NOT let someone tell me what guns or attachments I can use. they are in the game and all of them require some type of skill, whether it being straight aiming weapons or not.

Further more, why shouldnt they be allowed to use whatever gun they want?
They have payed for the game, the console, the network adapter, the internet connection, so how does someone justify their opinion of telling people not to use certain guns?

This type of scernio depends my friend. Are you playing in a room with skilled players or are you playing in a room with fellow beginer players? If those who play with 100 round clips (MK) then one is a noob for several reasons. Those guns produce easy kills. I don't know how smart you are but if you are a BEGINER player then one does not know how to shoot or aim. Having an MK helps this problem out, because you do not need to aim to get the kill.
the f90, model 18, and the MK-48 are all noob guns that require no aim to get a kill. Use the guns if you need help to learn how to aim, but if you keep joining a skilled players room and use that crap you will get booted.

I ran all the way here. I heard my opinion was required, so I just assumed it was an emergency.
Gimme a minute to catch my breath...
That's better.
Simply put, people tell other players what weapons not to use because those weapons exploit the weaknesses in their playing styles. As M!ke said, if it has been agreed that a particular weapon will not be used in a game, then you should abide by that, otherwise, just use what you want.
In my clan, we don't use ranged explosives on small maps. If somebody uses one on a large map, then we change our style to meet the challenges of defeating it. The only noob involved when a gl or airburst is present, is the noob that gets killed TWICE by it, not the player using it. Once you know they have it, you have to change your style of play to beat it. This goes for quick-snipers too. Once you know they are doing it, you have to change your tactics to clobber 'em.
The biggest noobs in the game are ones that complain about the type of weapon they got killed by.
There you go. You have my opinion. Hope you feel better now.

So if I turn my back to an enemy and fire away with these guns I'll get a skill? SWEET! *Sarcasm implied*

some weapons get called noob guns coz they say they dont require skills to use :)

Everyone knows that if these games didnt have these weapons, we would all be posting threads asking "Wheres our GLs and AT-4's and RPG-7's?!"
I like them all, but when an entire team is using them, it causes unbelievable lag, the server trying to process all the explosions onto everyones screen. But if one or two guys per team had one, then its okay. Same with sniper rifles. Too many people choose them. I like firefights, thats why I bought the game, but I rarely get into any good ones because everyone wants to be the "cool" sniper they see in the movies. I pack more smoke grenades than m-67's or HE's anymore.
BTW, DOUBLE POST N00BS^^^^^

I don't have a problem with any weapons. I choose not to use most of the weapons that are called n00b guns because I don't like them not because other people say you shouldn't use them. And I don't care what anyone else uses.
If you like using weapons other people don't like they will always complain you just have to learn to ignore them.
If you don't like some weapons then play in rooms that don't allow them.

I have no problem with f90s and mks because even though i don't use them, they are a gun, not a grenade launcher. They can kill quickly, but i jus own the noobs who use those guns with better guns like the 552.
Stop being selfish and think that because you bought the game, you can play it however you want. Many others bought the game and want to have fun...
EDIT
dam you made me type a lot...

Now this has to be the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard on this topic. Are you actually saying that because you payed for your game, ps2, etc. that the other 250,000+ players should play the game according to your rules and the way you want the game played? Now that's funny.

People who say that a gun doesnt require skill to use, they dont realize that that person uses that gun all the time and maybe, just maybe he actually uses it well because he PRACTICES with it, hmmmmmm.....Like me i suck with the F90,flat out, So obvioulsy that gun does require skill to use because if it's one of those guns that's a newb weapon then i should be awesome with it. The F90 is a head shot weapon. You people need to stop tellin others what to use and what they cant use. If i wanna go and use a damn GL, well dammit im usin a GL, I payed 50 f***in dollers for it and im usin what i want, when i want, where i want.
Anf for those who can't kill a person with an F90, SNIPE thier you go its that easy

I agree completly, i dont care at all what gun you use in any map. BUT. I will say something if you are using m203's on people instead of vehicles.
How is mk48 an easy kill? You have 30 bullets in a magazine, and he has 100. If you cant kill him in the first 30 bullets, then you need practice. You should be able to waste anyone in one clip. So stop complaining

LMAO @ using GL's and M203's takes skill...It absolutely takes NO skill to use a grenade launcher...it takes skill to SNIPE someone and move to another sniping position. I can launch a grenade from a gun across the map and kill 4 people in an instant...WOW...that takes little skill. But, to snipe somene with a silenced or non-silenced sniper rifle takes skill. I'm not flaming about it, but it's usually discouraging when you're in a gun battle with someone and he stops and frags you with a GL or M203...but it's in the game.
