Network adaptrr screwing up PS2

I've just installed the network adaptor to my playstation, but when I press the reset button the console turns itself off, not at the back of course. Is this normal?

Of course its not normal. The reset button resets it and the off button turns it off. So no the reset button turning it off is wrong. I dont think its the network adapter so it might be time to get a new PS2.

I took the adaptor off and it worked fine. I doubt it will break my PS2 but it just seemed wierd. Thanks though.

Why are you pressing the button?

To change game?
To turn off the console?
Or the game has froze up???

If its the last one, then it did the exact same for me! and my PS2 behaves normally when im not playing online etc

I think in my first response i sounded kind of rude Darkblade. So sorry but here is more advice. Dont buy a new PS2 just for Socom. Wait and save up for the PS3.
That would probley be the smartest course.
