I just bought the game today, and am fairly new to the whole series. Neways, I tried to connect online and it finds my network configuration file. When it trys to load it, it says disconnected from network, and the game restarts. Is there a way to fix this problem. Ive had no problem playing other games online such as battlefield 2 and MGS3.
How many times did you try it? Sometimes the game is dumb and it does that, when it kicks you back out just try it again. If that doesn't work post again.
Wouldnt I need to connect online in order to download the update?
Yes you connect online to download the update. Once you get past the dnas screen it gives you the update thing, and you download it. You will probly have to dload it twice for it to work because thats how socom is.

Ive also tried testing my connection by going to edit network configuration, but every time I test it, I get an error saying: "The connection attempt has timed out/ Return to the Network Settings menu."
Is there another solution, because I dont want to return this game.
