EB Games in Maryland jipped me!

So, my Socom 3 disk was messed up, and I decided to buy a used one so I wouldn't have to pay $50. So, today my dad and I went down to Maryland (3 hours away) to clean out my grandparents' house. On the way there was an EB Games. I was like, "Hey, do you have Socom 3 used copies?" Anyway, I got it for $40. Then when I got home I opened it up to play. A Socom 1 was inside the case! WHAT THE HELL!?! WHO WOULD DO THAT!?! Worst part is, the place is an hour and a half away, and I'm not going back until July. Any thoughts on this?

Ouch. I always check inside the box before I walk out of the store with a used game. The only time I don't check is if it is factory sealed. Keep the reciept, but I doubt they will believe you.

Man, this sucks. As c0mm said, you should watch the disc first. Maybe you can call ebgames and replace it by a used Socom 3 disc.

Stores usually give you the benefit of the doubt, just because they usually have more to lose then to gain by jipping someone off.

Yeah try calling the phone number on the reciept and explaining the situation to them. maybe they will let you mail it to them if you pay for the postage to have it mailed back to you.

i did call them. they said next time i go down there, that if they have my reciept that theyll exchange it but they cant guarantee anything.

I never had that happened cause I always buy new games but I would be realy pissed and my dad would probably scream his lungs out at the idiot who sold me that game.

You should mail it to them and demand a new copy of the game. $40 for the game? You should've just bought it new or took better care of your game.

my question, is that the closest socom dealer to your house,
granted i live in a fairly big city (100,000 people), I dont have to drive an hour to get the game, theres prolly 4-5 places in town that have the game, im just wondering, did you HAVE to buy the game out of town, do you have some sort of membership with EB games, cuz otherwise i would suggest getting games from in-town so this mess isnt as bad as it is
