I don't understand why people's games get scratched. It's probaly because they throw the games on the FLOOR, the side that it reads on FACE down. That scratches it big time. I always take Socom 3 out of the case (holding on to the outer part, never touching the read side) and gently insert it into the console. Why would someone pay fifty bucks for a disc and treat it like ****?

because some people get mommy and daddy to pay for everything, i respect my games, i respect my ps2, i have had it ever since that online bundle came, its prolly goin on 3 years now, and i have never had a problem with it, it stays plugged in, hardly goes to friends houses, doesnt get thrown, gets turned off when im done with it, and my controllers, original. i dont throw them, i dont hit them (thats what the chair is for). my mic, original, its not the original socom headset with the flimsy wire, its the original logitec, before they had the mute button

cmon people, its not that hard to maintain your stuff, everyones always talkin about how stuff breaks on them all the time, think about it, WHY does it break for you and not me?

check the backy by the fan, make sure there isnt dust covering it, and if you can, it helps to put the ps2 on its side for a lil bit, because that will rearrange all the dust, allowing the fan to expel it easier, and cool the ps2 down even better, works grea
