He's talking about the custom messages you could setup on Socom 2. Like your taunts, you had I think 5 different messages you could create that only your team, alive and dead, would see.

Yeah, I miss these too. I'm not sure why they were taken out, but it's doubtful they'll return until a PS3 socom since S:CA is built the same as S3.

You can still use a keyboard to chat during the game. Your message comes up on the top of the screen. I know that not all people have a keyboard but it's a start.

the hud isnt as big. i think its like 3 lines long now. i have a keyboard but not all the time i can type and play without getting owned.

In-game chat is limited to something like 80 characters. I have a keyboard, though I mostly use it when I am dead or the other team is camping.

It would be nice to have those team messages back again. On S2 my most used where "sorry for the TK", "stop voting me" and "I'm not camping, I have a plan".

They saved my arse many times.

Yea I agree those were nice to have especially as soon as you TK'd somebody you could let them know it was an accident. So they didn't try to get you voted by the other dead players. I have a keyboard and it does get the job done when a TK happens I type quick dude I'm sorry man.
