I like Control Points..not many others do. =/
I think the reason why is because of all the camping in it..but yet, those people that don't like the game type camp when they play it.
IMO, people don't know how to play Control Points the right way..to me, it's supposed to be a FAST-PACED game, like a race. The 1st team to get all 5 points wins. You go to get the control points. You come across enemies, you kill them. (or atleast try to)
When you have people who get to a control point, control it, then just camp it out, it slows down the game play, makes it the opposite of a race (more of a who can camp the most control points at one time), and basically just ruins it for everybody.
If you think about it, you have different gameplay for each game type..suppression and demolition are moderately paced, convoy is slow paced sort of, as is escort, extract, and breach. Now there's one gametype left, which is control points. That's 1 gametype, out of a total of 7, that is/should be fast paced. Hell, just read the description of the gametype when the map is loading up..I don't know the exact words, but it's something like "Be the first team to control all 5 nav points." Then it says, "..or control more points than the other team when time expires". But to me, that's if the number of alive players gets low and have to walk all the way across the map just to get a nav point or two, and time runs out.
All in all, it WOULD be a fun game to everyone, if people treated it like a race. It would sort of be like gameplay on Socom 1 and 2..when the round starts, go out and get rid of the other team..in this case, go out and get those nav points asap..while at the same time, taking out the people in your way of doing that.
