I like Control Points..not many others do. =/
I think the reason why is because of all the camping in it..but yet, those people that don't like the game type camp when they play it.

IMO, people don't know how to play Control Points the right way..to me, it's supposed to be a FAST-PACED game, like a race. The 1st team to get all 5 points wins. You go to get the control points. You come across enemies, you kill them. (or atleast try to)
When you have people who get to a control point, control it, then just camp it out, it slows down the game play, makes it the opposite of a race (more of a who can camp the most control points at one time), and basically just ruins it for everybody.

If you think about it, you have different gameplay for each game type..suppression and demolition are moderately paced, convoy is slow paced sort of, as is escort, extract, and breach. Now there's one gametype left, which is control points. That's 1 gametype, out of a total of 7, that is/should be fast paced. Hell, just read the description of the gametype when the map is loading up..I don't know the exact words, but it's something like "Be the first team to control all 5 nav points." Then it says, "..or control more points than the other team when time expires". But to me, that's if the number of alive players gets low and have to walk all the way across the map just to get a nav point or two, and time runs out.

All in all, it WOULD be a fun game to everyone, if people treated it like a race. It would sort of be like gameplay on Socom 1 and 2..when the round starts, go out and get rid of the other team..in this case, go out and get those nav points asap..while at the same time, taking out the people in your way of doing that.

control is my favorite mode lots of fun, its very strategic, my other fav is breach, but good luck finding one of those to play. I like to warm up playing respawns then move into the ranked rooms, if i go in cold i might as well go in w/ a toe tag on.

Control Points is only fun on maps like Citadel and Waterworks, because the majority of their Control Points are in enclosed areas.

Maps like Killing Fields, Devil's Road and Storm Front just beg for people to snipe, and that is gay.

People don't understand that there are tactics and craptics. Sniping a Control Point from 80+ meters is a noob's specialty.

Last night though I played an awesome round of CP on Storm Front. It was night, and Pistols Only. It rocked, and was the most fun I'd ever had on that map.

My first favorite is control points but no one ever plays it. I used to love convoy but ive had to many 16 v 7 experiences...everyone at their first chance goes seal side for the easy win. Demo is cool but it can get old.

My clan's map is Seal Crucible Control points, we have it down to an art. An easy win if your team actually can plan stuff out and work as a team.

I think that Control Points should be played differently. The markers should be thought of entire areas instead of just that little spot on the ground. Your team should control that section of the map and the enemy will have to eliminate everyone there before planting their marker. In this way it's kind of like 5 breaches in one map. Now you may think "isn't this how it's played already?" but the people I played against only concentrated on the exact spot you plant the marker and camped it.
