Different m203 question never asked...

Okay, I'm PRETTY sure it was never asked...

Why would people that I played with today gripe about the m203 SMOKE I had equiped? Is smoke really as bad as m203 HE/FRAG?


And wouldn't you love a m203 version of the flashbang? That would be sooo cool.... *ahem*, in my opinion.

I dont think they have M203 flash bangs

i dont think smoke is bad to have for a M203 and it is really helpful on convoy i dont know why those people got so mad for you having a smoke M203 maybe they thought it was frag or HE but if they new it was smoke you cant kill anyone you can only limit how far they can see.

I love using the smoke on the GL's but its still pretty rare that I do. I dont think using the smoke/red should be considered as even using a GL. Obviously it is but when people think GL, they think NOOB which, with the smoke, is not true. Using GL smoke is great, it fires pretty damn far, it gets people on edge because they automatically think its a HE flying towards them, and I think it also looks cool when the smoke is flying through the air.

What would be cool is if you could hit people with the smoke GL, taking a shot to the chest from one of those would put you down pretty fast. (Obviously damage would vary with distance). I think flash bangs would be kinda cool as a GL but I would like to see teh flashbangs been more effective before getting put in a GL. They have a short effective range so if it was a bigger range you could fire it into the air at a group of enemies and have a great effect.

I think beanbag rounds will be considered been put in the GL if they dont have their own launcher and even if they are in the next SOCOM or not I dont know. How cool would it be to have a grenade with napalm in it? Firing it from a GL into mid air and just watch everything and everyone burn alive as you stand watching the carnage.

i thought bean bags can only be shot from shot gun i dont think they have bean bag grenade launcher rounds.

Well I have only seen them fired out of shotguns also (usually green with yellow stripe on stock) but I wasnt sure if they could be fired out of anything else so I said launcher as a collective term, maybe I should have said weapon?

Has anyone seen those guns that fire huge nets and it covers the suspect? On the training video it shows a volunteer suspect running down a field, he gets covered by a net and within 3 seconds he trips over his own legs. It looks funny to watch but I bet they are the most annoying thing ever! I have also seen this thing that shoots up from the ground in-front of a fleeing car, it too is a huge net. It can only stop a 200lb car going 50mph which, to me, is pretty crap considering most fleeing cars drive above that speed. Maybe they have updated it since, I dont know. Maybe a little later I might have a look if I can find a few videos with this stuff on.

lol. i do that sometimes when i'm bored but i usually have the red smoke attachment. I only do it when I know no one else on my team is using one, and I shoot it at Terrs/SEALs when they're a distance away... then when we're in the lobby

"YOU WERE USING 203s!"
"Yes, I had the red smoke attachment but I killed you with bullets. What's your complaint again?"
"Shut up noob. 203 *****"
"Sorry. Next time I'll actually use the HE attachment... didn't mean to obscure your vision."

If i remember correctly boyengland in socom 2 you could kill someone with smoke grenades. you had to aim at there head from close range and little by little they lost life till they were dead. i havent tested it on socom 3 yet but i will assume you can.

Off Topic: One of the coolest parts of the movie terminator 2 was when the boy said he couldnt kill the cops trying to get in the building so he took the MGL and knocked some of those fools out with smoke grenades.

Cap the only thing i can think of is they probally just assumed you were using frags for your 203 b/c i cant see why anyone would complain about using the smoke grenades unless it was a sniper complaining b/c he wasnt able to snipe a certain area which is still a bit ridiculous.

The only thing I can think of, is you can fire the smoke a longer way, than you could toss it by hand. But that's really a lame thing to compline about.
If and when they come out with this new version, lobbing a teargas nade could be real fun with a 203.LOL

Flashbang 203s would be pimp with a capital P.

Smoke 203s are fine by me, and I wonder why people would complain about them. I've only used them when I need a lot of smoke real fast.

i dont see a problem with any gl or m203, they give us the guns y not use them to full advantage... when i use them i usually end up killing my self. i think they are great for taking on the snipers that like to hide in those hard to reach places
