You had to aim at their head and shoot a smoke grenade at it, the person wouldn't loose any life, but after 2 shots to the head with it, they would just die straight off. I should think socom would've cleared that up on socom 3.
And with the whole beanbag thing, i have only ever seen them fired from a specially made weapon, it looks a bit like a grenade launcher only it's really not powerfull.

simple
your team didnt really care, but if the other team got a smoke shot at them and lets say a nade blows up at the same time and the guy who dies didnt c what he got killed by he might grab a 203 next round. or sometimes u kill a guy and see it then ur like that dude had a 203. then problems start, so i say just work on ur throwing arm.

The Flashbang M203 thing would be twice as good if it exploded on contact, so you dont have to estimate when to shoot if a guy is running around...just shoot it at his feet...
As for the M203 SMOKE, my guess is that they THOUGHT you were using HE's in it. When someone dies, and their name is on the screen, i usually dont pay attention to what gun killed them..but if i waas running around and saw a seal with a M203 attachment, i automatically assume there using explosives, and warn my team.
If you dont want problems like that, you should warn the other team in the lobby that your only using the attachment for smokes, so they dont complain.

snipers and m203s are a little different than plaque and toothbrushes. lol
I'm not a big fan of gls and m203 explosives but I never mind it.
Smokes aren't bad in my opinion.

Because of all the WHINING (I thinking its ruining the game more than the way most people use the launchers which 180 DEGREES from the way they are supposed to be used [especially the FREAKING VOTING] I will say Zipper should at least consider looking at tweaking them for balance reasons, but even if no one on my team is using them and the other team is I like them in the game), I intenionally would get M203 Smoke and in the other slot M203 Red Smoke to be a punk (plus direct hits to mines will set them off). Also to avoid using the launchers as noob cannons when I was still a noob I made myself not use them at all (except in single and the aforementioned smoke) though it still takes some skill to use them ESPECIALLY THE WAY THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE USED. I wanted to make myself better and not "ohh Ill just use my airburst that'll get some kills, cause I know I'm not good enough to stay alive and take out people".

"YOU WERE USING 203s!"
"Yes, I had the red smoke attachment but I killed you with bullets. What's your complaint again?"
"Shut up noob. 203 *****"
"Sorry. Next time I'll actually use the HE attachment... didn't mean to obscure your vision."

I use it sometimes when I want to carry A LOT of smoke, but it kills your gun's accuracy to tack on a launcher...
As for the smoke 203 kills, I don't think you can get them anymore... kinda like getting "backblast" kills from the rpg's... or can you still get those too, and I just forgot?

I don't see why people complain about 203's so much. They require as much skill as any other gun. You have to calculate the arc of the round, the distance, and where the guy will be when it gets there. I hate using them at close range though, I usually use them on snipers that are a couple hundred meters away, or someone running at the same distance. I am the best person I know of with a 203, and I wouldn't have it any other way. If I am a seal, I'll put it on a M4 an use full auto for close-range, and on Terrs, I'll use it on the stg.
In my opinion, the only people who complain about 203's, F90's(P90), RPG's, etc. Are the people who aren't good enough to kill these people, You have to avoid the shots, wait till they're reloading then fire, this is true for all of these so-called "newb-cannons". Since they all have to reload quickly. So they have a major flaw in that respect.

Why would people that I played with today gripe about the m203 SMOKE I had equiped? Is smoke really as bad as m203 HE/FRAG?
And wouldn't you love a m203 version of the flashbang? That would be sooo cool.... *ahem*, in my opinion.

they got mad cuz when they died, the switched people to watch, saw that you had a m203, didnt care what you had in it, and immediatly assumed the worst.
better luck next time
