Hard time choose guns.

I've been playing Socom 3 ever since it came out and I just can't seem to get comfortable with any of the weapons. The closest I come is either Sniping with an Sr-25, Long ranging with an M-16, or even run and gun with an M4 on Seals or Ak-47 on Terrorists but I never get truly comfortable like I did on Socom 2.

I am comfortable with the sniper rifles thats mainly what I do. I like useing the MK-8 when I'm a seal.

Try these combos.

Seals:
HK-36 (Don't forget it starts on 2 round burst)
Front Grip
Silencer

Terrorists:
552 (Don't forget it starts on 3 round burst)
Front Grip
Silencer

Those are my 2 favorite guns.

I usually stick with a m4 if I'm running around as a seal, and a ra14 if I'm a terrorist. But you gotta kinda try every kind of combination you can think of. See what you get good killing runs with, and tweak with things once and a while.

I think you said what needs to be said right there, those combos are the best for a beginner or even people who have been playing from day 1. Sometimes I get too excited in all the comotion and forget to take them off burst though and then wonder why nothing is coming out of my gun while holding fire.

Also I like using the I-Dub or whatever people call it with a laser and fore-grip. The only weapons I am comfertablw with are the 552, HK-36, M-8, and the M4. Any other weapons and I tend to screw up alot more.

Adding a few grenades to your loadout can be a good idea also, if you get comfertable with nades and a decent primary then your almost set. Just learn how to throw the nades and you will be fine.

Nade story - Clan war few days ago Citadel, got to the top of the stairs from a SEAL spawn point (the really high stairs overlooking the statue) where I saw a red "danger" line, I turned to where it was coming from and I couldnt see a guy so I threw nade through a window and got the luckiest kill I have ever got. He must have standing in the room but I just threw what you might call a blind nade and it got a kill.

Just goes to show, throw naeds randomly and you might get kills, maybe team kills but kills all the same.

Yeah, I've been experimenting with different guns, that people never use, I've become accustomed to the 9MM sub (Hence the name WICKED9MM), and the HK-7. They're both pretty much amazing if you know how to use them.

IMO the best gunto start out w/ is the stg...

good range
some spray so not as much skill needed 4 aiming
plus it ownz w/ supp 1 and front grip.

I like the AG-94 for terrorists, it is kind of like the AK-105 from S2. But sniping is the way to go with an SR-25 or a SASR both silenced.

When you absolutely have to kill everyone on the map...M16A2 high scope with rifle laser....there is NO substitute!

The M16 is not good for every map. Its stopping power leaves something to be desired, and I have found it is most effective when you slap a high scope on it and zoom in. If you need to kill everyone on the map you would be better off with an M4A1 or a 552. They combine great fire rates with great power.
