Does your family bother you while playing video games?

I like when your playing and trying to call stuff out and someone at your house is trying to talk to you at the same time. I mean how the hell are you going to have two conversations at one time.

I live Alone and Answer to No-One. My Family lives in a house next door. other than that no disturbances from anyone because I have to Buzz them through a large electric fence while my blood-thirsty-yard-wolves patrol the grounds.

So basically you mean you have to pay to live in your bedroom at your parents house, you have 2 plastic cups at each end of a piece of string, across a small piece of picket fence you use to keep your Chitsu (sp?) from getting out of the bedroom and crapping all over the house? jk

My family never really disturb me too bad when Im playing. My step brother and sister are in England for another 2 weeks so there out of my way. My step dad usually asks me the most retarded things, like I am playing a game and he might shout me down to ask me to play with the dog for a bit while he is sat the room next to her trying to sleep on the sofa. My mum is just the regular ol' Mother really, asking THE most retarded things ever, like asking me if my family are on MSN even though its like 4am in England and just stuff like that. The most annoying thing is when my Mum comes in when I have my mic on and asks me how it works because its only got one ear-piece (regular headphones have 2) or she walks infront of the TV to sit down when she knows I wont talk to her anyway.

The only way I get them to stop is by ignoring them when they shout me, then when I am dead or something I just go to the top of the stairs to see what they wanted. They are getting used to the fact that I refuse to listen to their retarded crap until I am ready to so its getting a little better.

Its going to be hell soon though, my brother and sister are coming back in 2 weeks, on the same day 4 of the family's "friends" are flying in, and at christmas we will have 9 people in a 4 bedroom house for 3 weeks, how will that give me time to play on my PS3?!?!?!

Man, If you think Moms and Dads and Brothers and Sisters are bad try it with a wife or GF. I work 12-14 hours a day and when I come home I want to just play some S3 and relax and my wife is like "how was your day...let me tell you about mine". Which is fine but she goes on and on and won't shut up. Even when I ignore her silly questions she still continues. Then she's like "I want to watch 'Desperate Housewives'" or some such garbage. I don't get angry though. I mean, what ya gonna do? Frustrating as it may be I still love the lil pain in the butt.

But yeah about the thread, I'm the only child living at my house both siblings moved out so no distractions from them. My mom however has put a "time-limit" to me playing which is fine, cause I probably play it too much. But usually no distractions while I play.

My wife actually sits and watches me, but I usually only play after the kids are in bed. My daughter actually likes to play on line and is pretty good but I won't let her put the headset on. She has her own memory card and is still playing the game and just completed another mission.

Yeah my son plays too. He's 12 and I watch him closely and he can only play when my clan is on cuz their cool with it. He isn't annoying like a lot of kiddies are though. I think I've taught him well.

My wife used to sit and watch me play and cheer me on but doesn't anymore for some reason. I think she just got bored with it.

I try to get out of my house as much as possible and then when its late at night and I get home I sign on. Yet a lot of the times I am grounded because of the most studipest reasons in the world. I think its just because my mom cant let go.
