i have read this thread completely and i KNOW for a FACT c0mmand3r will just call me an idiot like he has been calling me before. but if anyone else from the community can help me figure out why if someone on my friends list is loged in when i login my mic wont work but if they logout or im the first person to login (of my friends list being no one loged in) then my mic is fine... this is REALLY annoying and im wondering if anyone has had the problem and has fixed it before. thanks in advance

Yeah, Crazy Jay I keep getting the same server Error. Everytime I'm online and playing in a game (between 5-10 minutes) I eventually get disconnected and it says DISCONNECTED FROM SERVER- ERROR L2. Does anyone knows what this means??? My internet connection is pretty solid, because I hook my connection up straight to my modem, but ever since I downloaded this new patch (that enables players to play 32 ppl on the new maps) I've been getting this server ERROR L2. I would appreciate any advice or assistance, thanks.

I'll holla

Exclamation Headset Issue!!!
I have an issue.
I have been playing SOCOM since SOCOM 1 came out.
I have stuck through all of the problems, cheaters
and glitchers sence the begining. I even met the
man that I am with now through SOCOM 1. Now 8
games, 5 Playstation 2's later I am a huge SOCOM
3 player. When I say 9 games, I mean 2 SOCOM 1's,
2 SOCOM 2's and 4 SOCOM 3's, and I have purchased
plenty of PS2's that most have died but I keep
going back for more. I have went through a dozen
mics and that's not just what my household buys.
My boyfriend and my son play also so you can
imagine how much of an impact SOCOM has in my
household. We have been playing for years.
I have made alot of friends on the game,
friends who I will always remain friends with
beyond the game. But all in all, we did quit
playing for about 2 months due to issues with
our DSL company. We finally got back on track
and came back to the game to find yet another
download to add and map packs to buy. We went
out and bought 2 flashdrives just for the new maps.
We plan to purchase 3 sets of map packs but
will not until the mic issue is fixed!
BUT the issue is, which I have NEVER had a
problem with this, is when we came back our
mics don't work anymore. I have been all over
through the forums and followed all of the advice
that was given and called my DSL company and they
opened all ports and fixed the firewall issue. We
even set up our playstation configuration setup
the way that one of the SOCOM websites said to,
and still no mics. I am now simply getting
frustrated trying to figure out what I need to do
to fix them, the mics work, the PS2 works and the
games are brand new, we just started playing them
3 days ago. I will not replace another SOCOM game,
another Headset or another PS2 because the ones I
got are in proper working order. I will email and
post all that I need to post until I can find the
answer to fix the cause of my 'unworking' headset.
So what do I have to do or what do you have to do
to fix this issue????? PLEASE RESPOND!!!!!!!!!
Forward this to whom ever you have to,
to get this resolved please!

Thanks,
From a SOCOM FANATIC

Router help THIS WORKS!!!
I had the same problem couldn't get our headsets to work online but they worked offline. I was using a zoom router/modem but found out that it is defective and thats why it wasn't working. My bf did a 3 hour conference call with our ISP and the modem manufacturer. In the end they bridged our 4 port modem and hooked a NET GEAR router into the zoom modem/router and the mics work fine now. You need to try and get a port forwarding, there are specific ports that NEED to be open for the playstation, or you can set ur modem up for DMZ(check your advanced set up) or Call your ISP they know what all this is. The ports on the other hand, you need TCP 10070-10080 open and UDP 50000, 6000-7000 and 10080. They will know, but that does help, it opens what you need. If you do the port forwarding they automatically bypass the firewall for you, the firewall can block things going to your ps2. I know this is confusing but I have also been battleing with this for 3 days. good luck

No, they take the dollar out but there is nothing showing what it was taken out for, it just gets taken!
