Recording with cam.
I saw the 3 year owner video, where the guy recorded his kid/little brother w\e playing socom. Ok, so I can record like that with my cam, but when i'm done where can I go to edit my clips like he did? I can record and save the files onto my computer but they are full games and I need to edit them down to kill clips. Thanks for any help.

I only have Windows Movie Maker but never use it, but I know that you can take any piece of video from anywhere and split it into clips, then delete them or whatever.

.... as far as I know anyway.

I took a SOCOM 3 video and did a bit of editing just to see what you could do and I didn't really get it, but just put it on WMM and you should be able to split the video into clips.

Yea, its pretty easy. I pulled out a clip someone had took of me awhile back... worst quality ever! But I still used it because it was the only thing I had on my computer. I wanted to see what I could do with the editing. Well, heres what I made. Its only 1:17 minutes long so take a look. I dont think the editings that bad. I could have made the clips a bit shorter though. There was only two clips that I used.

RapidShare Webhosting + Webspace

Just alittle bit of what you can do with it. ALOT more, but that only took me a few minutes.

Well, what exactly are you asking? How do you do the editing? ITs really simple. Once you select "Create Movie" it walks you through everything.

You have your options on the left. It says something like "Add Clips" "Add audio/music" "add captions"... etc. etc. and you just go through them all untill your done.

Then at the bottom theres a timeline. You put the music file in the begining, or where ever you want it to start. Then you put your captions between the clips they belong. And thats about it. You can right click the captions and go to effects. And add effects on how they present thierselves and such. Also how they read. You can also right click the clips and choose effects. (Slow down, fast-forward, fade to black, fade to white, brightness, mirror/verticle. etc. etc.) And when thats all done, you cut/trim the clips to just the kill moments.

Now I didnt do a very good job, because I was in a hurry but you can do much, much more. Also, you can add a title and credits as i did. If you have WMM you should have eveything I just descibed. :)

Mods, please dont lock/close. It can be a thread to discuss... WMM? And my ultra-sexy video.

They usually don't lock video topics, or any topics for that matter unless there is a lot of flameing. Exceptions include the Off topic discussion where people just post random stuff forever or when the conversation has strayed far from the topic.

I meant the text and credits, I've never figured out how to do that. I mean, I havent used WMM in a few months (Got vegas, Recently got good with it)

Damn, Change title animation link. Never saw that.

Hahaha, yeah, I forgot to mention that. When you got to "Edit Caption" Theres to options. Change Text/Font and Change animation or whatever. It took me a few minutes to learn everything. But then it became pretty easy. I just started clicking every button and began getting the hang of everything. It took me a long time before I knew how to cut clips.

And I asked for the topic to not be deleted, because in my first post I asked for it to be. But that was before I posted the vid and what not.
