S3 Start-Up Vid

I remember awhile back, some people were asking for the start-up vid. They wanted to know how to get it or something. Anyway, I had some spare time so I did it for anyone/everyone. Feel free to save it and use it (for projects or w/e) or just view it.

I know 17MB seems a lot for a little more than 1 minute vid, but I wanted the best quality. So, hopefully this helps...

I didn't get what this was, but now I do.

Here's a way to get perfect quality...

Ok, let's say you want to 'steal' the intro or other videos from SOCOM I, II, III or some other game, but you don't know how

This is what you do:

STEP 1
You put the Playstation 2 disk in the DVD player of your computer.

STEP 2
You download and install these programs:
Playstation rip tools
Xilisoft Video Converter v2.1

STEP 3
Explore your Playstation 2 disk; the video files have a .PSS extension. Windows Movie Maker (WMM) doesn't recognize these files, so you have to have to convert it to something WMM recognizes.

STEP 4
We will PSSPLEX to demultiplex these .PSS files into .WAV (audio) and a .M2V (MPEG-2 video) files.
To do this, open PSS PLEX and click on 'DEMULTIPLEX'. The .PSS source file is the file you want to rip, so browse your Playstation 2 disk and select the file.
Save the MPEG2 and WAV files to your desktop (or another folder that's easy to find).

STEP 5
We now have to convert this .M2V file into something WMM recognizes.
To do this, we open Xilisoft Video Converter.
Once opened, you click on: FILE -> ADD. Select the .M2V file.
On the bottom of your screen, you will see:
Profile: this is where you choose what you will convert this .M2V to. (I pick Super VideoCD (*.mpg)

Destination: this is where you want the file to be saved. Use the same folder as you saved your .M2V file in.

Click 'ENCODE' and wait for it to be completed (this doesn't take long).

STEP 6
Once done, open WMM and import both files to your collection (CTRL+I).
Select all clips (CTRL+A) and drag&drop them in the timeline below.

You will see that the video and audio files are both the same length.

Go to: File -> Save Movie File..(CTRL+P) and choose "My computer", pick a name and folder, then choose the movie setting.
I recommend using "Best quality for playback on my computer".
Click next and it will start saving your file.

Once done, you will have a video that looks quite similar to this:

i would do it alphas way cuz all u have to do is save to ur computer through FILE FRONT an its way easyer that dl some program u dont even want.. but,thats my oppinon
