well same as me, alot of people dont really know how to decide what music is good for videos. so this thread is just to post what bands/songs do you think that are good for videos

here ill start with the some bands and some good songs. note these are the songs on my ipod for skating so it should have some good pump up music.


silverstein

my sword vs your dagger (2:57) - good high paced rock song, not a ton of screaming which is good in my case. this is one of my favorite rock bands.


bullet for my valentine

suffocation under words of sorrow (3:29) - another good high paced rock song, a little more screaming then the silverstein above ^^


mr.lif

i Phantom (4:17) - this is a pretty good rap song. i used it on my first video, it has a pretty good beat. its not those songs that are too explict about sex, money, drugs and stuff.



lost prophets

shinobi vs dragon ninja (2:57) - the title may sound gay but it doesnt have to do with the song. its a good rock song, pretty hard beat. no screaming.


sum 41

thanks for nothing (3:04) - alot of people dont like sum 41 but this is my personal favorite from this band. really good beat for socom. no screaming.


franz ferdinand

the fallen (3:42) - this is more of an alt rock then hard rock. so this is more for you people who want softer rock on there videos. it has an awesome beat and the vocals is pretty good.

come on home (3:46) - same this is an alt rock song. i really like the beat on this song. same as above the vocals are good.


hawthrone heights

saying sorry (3:07) - this band is one of my favorites. this has some screaming and its a softer rock song. its not those slow song type rock songs, its just a softer tone


trust company

stronger (2:49) - i forgot where i heard this from but this song is perfect for socom videos. it has a nice beat. no screaming but more of yelling. vocals are good too.


panic! at the disco

The only difference (2:54) - this is another one of my favorite bands. but this song was used in the [ASQ] vs [S3] video so you should ether wait awhile till people forget about this song or see if this song is good for the mood of your video. so i suggest you ask someone from the [S3] if you can use this song.

lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off (3:20) - this is a good song. good vocals and a good beat. pretty funny song too.


Rage against the machines

Sleep now in the fire (3:06) - this is another great song for socom videos. but also this was used in bobs video "refs vs admins" so i guess you should ask him if you want to use this song.

tell me when to go (4:03) - this is the most popular california bay area song. it has a good beat and its all about the hyphy movement. still this song isnt about sex, drugs, money, or killing.

hyphy = crunk


System of a down

B.Y.O.B (4:01) - this is just a crazy high paced rock song. its a good song maybe for the credits but i am not sure about the normal video.


that all the best songs i could pick out from my ipod. so post up a song that you think that would be good for a video for socom.
