It's sad. It really is. If they had been doing their jobs properly and issued all of these fixes when the game was still hot, I think a lot of people would still be playing it.

Well, here's to hoping that Confrontation and Socom 4 have all of these things in place right off the bat.

I really thought it was about time, and its nice to be able to play these maps on the current game instead of having to get on SOCOM 2 to play them. The lack of Bertha on DG is disappointing, but other than that, they didn't do that bad of a job. There have actually been quite a few rooms featuring one or both of the map packs, which did surprise me. Apparently, a whole mess of people bought them.
Quicksniping? Yep, glad I don't have to put up with that crap anymore. Someone obviously thought it wasn't on the up and up.
Shotguns are messed up? Really? Hadn't noticed. Then again, I never used slug ammo...if I want slug ammo, I'll use an assault rifle.
I've played many of the Next-Gen games on ps3, and I have to say, I am not impressed. Warhawk seems to keep my attention with the diversity it offers, even if its pure stupidity to make the knives one-hit kills while machine guns take a clip or so. Love flying on that game though! Didn't like GRAW 2, felt it was way too confining, after listening to a few of guys in our clan talk about COD4, I decided that I wasn't even going to bother with it. Ended up buying Assassin's Creed instead.
I guess it all boils down to what you make of it, if you go in with a negative attitude, you aren't going to have fun no matter what. Thankfully, I got a bunch of cool clanmates to play the game with, so its usually a blast no matter how poorly the game was made.

Dude I couldn't agree more. The games you are in sound like what I usually find and play in. I don't miss quick sniping at all. I'm glad it's gone! It amazes me how many people on this forum hate the game and don't play it but are here constantly posting about it. Strange that...

I haven't played the the games on ps3 you mention other than WarHawk. It's a a blast and a lot of fun to play.
