It's their tournament, their rules.
There are certain legalities involved for minors taking part in something like this, that is what the waiver is for. I don't know what the 15 yr old age limitation stems from, but I'm not complaining about it ; )

I've got a team almost ready to submit. It won't be much longer and we'll enter the tournament. PM me or Kinggames if you need any other information from us. We need 1 more player to get a total of 10 (8 players 2 subs correct?) Then we are down.

Allow me to clarify the purpose of the Parental Consent Form:

It is illegal for me, an adult, to send a minor anything in the mail. Be it a shirt, money, a prize -- Anything.

So, to get your free t-shirt and any other prizes that you may win, I need a parental consent form signed by your parent or guardian.

If you want to play in the tournament, but cannot or do not want to get a parental consent form signed and mailed in, that is just fine with me, but you are waivering your right to win any prizes or free gifts involved in the tournament.

Around June 1, when we're a few weeks out from the start of the tournament, every team leader will get an email from me at their email address submitted in their sign-up, asking for SOCOM 3 usernames of all 10 of their teammates, t-shirt sizes and mailing addresses of each of their players. For privacy, if your team does not want to submit their address, the team leader does have the option of taking up the distribution costs him or herself, and all 10 shirts can be sent to that person. For this to happen, I will need the email addresses of each member of the team, so I can get a written consent that you don't mind your shirt and any other prizes you win to be sent to your team's leader to be forwarded to you by him or her. This is a much more complicated way to do business, and of course, we would just prefer to have real names and mailing addresses of every member of your team.

Is everyone that is meant to be in the tournament supposed to signup for the singles and then get "drafted" by the captain or something? I get that impression from reading this:

so...we need to get a slip signed even if we are over 18? kind of sounds like everyone needs to get a slip signed the way you wrote it up there

I'm pretty sure that that is only for people who don't have a full team.
