max range for all sniper rifles

I tested it in a closed respawn, the best distance i got was 189 meters. You can barely see anybody from that far. Maybe depending on the map, i don't see how you can make anybody out from any further then that.

you can see them clear as day you just won't be able to shoot them.

Sure you maybe aiming into the sky but i am not i had my cross hairs dead on the guy and i emptied all my clips on the guy and be did not flich and or die and anyone who says that i and anyone else was aiming into the sky when it doesnt show the range might be right but i think they are wrong and what i think is that you are out of range of the person since nothing happens when you shoot at them

I think sniper rifle ranges are unlimited.

No, all the weapons have ranges. I find the distance thing is messed up. A pistol could hit something 200 meters away. Hell, in training you have to hit a target 300 meters away with iron sights and it's not that hard. You don't need a scope. Hell, a scope is kind of over kill. At least, that's how things are in real life. I don't think the Navy helped Zipper at all on this one.

ok as ive stated many times in the forums i think zippy released combined assault un finished ca has to many problems and the sniper thing is the biggest goof .s3 has unlimited range but sca dosent ?sca only goes 200 meters-so try this if a dude is out of range at the bridge go prone and inch up on him meter by meter when your just in rande fire and youall get him then try it just out of range and youll never kill him-the problem is zipper was tryin to fix the glitches but left every thing else out like map pack 2 ud think that they would have known that they were gonna release it sometime in the life of sca but then months later they post a message that they cant get it to work with sca -wat a bunch of goofs

There was a time period in Socom 3, between patches, when all weapons had unlimited range.

Now every weapon has a limited range, once there are no numbers that show distance, you aren't effective. There are some exceptions, headshots just outside of distance will register sometimes. But that's the rule to usually follow.
