Tip: Getting The Best Experience Out Of Socom Starts With Your Accessories

Lets face it if your playing socom with just what came with it (socom headset) and ps2 controller in your hand your not getting the best experience out of your socom game... now i'm not saying go out and buy a 2,000 plasma screen tv and spend the same ammount on a good surround sound center... below i will show you some GREAT items that you can pick up for not to much money or save up for in not to long at all to make your socom experience better then ever!!
'

First off and most important in my eyes the headset!! this headset is absolutly top of the line in comfort and durability i call it the madden headset but heres the exact name and the info...

Motorola NFL Gaming Headset X205 Price Range: $21.95 - $41.88

Description: The Motorola Gaming Headset is inspired by the NFL Coaches Headset, this version has been modified to support the ultimate online gaming experience. With authentic appearance and high-quality microphone and materials, the X205 provides the user with clear voice communication and gaming voice commands. Features include: 8' USB cable with in-line mute and volume control, full high quality mono ear cup and flexible rotating microphone boom with noise canceling microphone.

I picked mine up for 29.99 from a local game store (EB GAMES) and let me tell you.... awsome comfort awsome sound and best of all hugely durable.. u can move the mic in any direction because it is made out of rubber not plastic like the other mics... farther away from face closer... up down wherever u want its the ultimate headset in sound and comfort.

Next up is the chair... this is no ordinary chair and you have to be carefull because some are more comfortable than others u dont wanna end up paying 50 bucks for a chair that u can only sit in for an hour and u get up sore... shop around i personally got mine from walmart for 50 bucks after looking at kmart and oddlots at other ones... u may be asking why a chair? like i said this is no ordinary chair.. mine is called the VROCKER it has AMAZING SOUND compared to a normal tv hands down 1000000pct difference the vrocker has movie theater sound with 3 speakers one on left one on right and one nice bass speaker hidden in the bottom of the chair.. not only do you hear gunshots that sound like real gunshots but its movie theater sound and you can feel the vibration as you shoot or are being shot apon... only drawback like i said is some of them are not hugely comfortable you have to be picky.. heres the info on one of the smaller ones these chairs range form 50-100 dollars but usuallly u can pick one up for 30-50 bucks at walmart or ebay... this is the info for the original vrocker most now have a bit larger speakers built in..

and thats all for the vrocker.. basically if you cant afford surround sound or even if you can this is a great affordable addition to your gaming experience.

Controller: Ok now i'm personally not going to get into this one.. because for socom ca your lucky if you can get really any controller to work properly with the game excluding the ps2 original controllers and a few logitechs... but if you still play socom 3 and want to see an awsome controller check out the controllers with the built in fans utterly hilarious not to expensive and for those of us whose palms sweat... makes you feel rich having a controller that keeps ur palms cool... but like i said not gonna get to far into it because most of us are stuck with regular ps2 controller now with ca or one of the rare logitechs that work.

Last but not least this is my baby.. extremly rare amoung gamers but wow what an experience it is if you try it one time you willl remember it ... mine was made by sony .. anyhow they are called virtual reality goggles.. they are very rare very hard to find and a bit pricey these days due to the fact that now they are linked with ipods... it improves your game 300 fold no distractions side to side basically you are directly in the game 1on1 u and socom these are a bit pricey tho i got them for my 21st birthday a while back and originally used them to watch movies on then later for halo and tony hawk and such now socom from time to time.. the only drawback on these is they cause a little bit of strain on the eyes if you use them for to long its kinda like being in a movie then walking out and the sun blinds you when u take these off... this is not a product for people with vision problems for it will only hurt ur eyes if you use them to much.. like i said this item is only good in moderation i.e. an hour or 2 then take a break.. like i said a bit pricey running from 50-300 dollars i personally got mine for 75 but i haggled a bit with the person who was selling them on ebay for 100..anyhow heres the info......on a popular pair today .. compatible with ps2,xbox .. basically anything... when searching for them on ebay i usually put in virtual goggles or reality goggles or something along those lines....heres the info

Motorola NFL Gaming Headset
I do just fine with the one I have, plus its about 20 pounds lighter.

Chair
If I have a more comfortable chair, I'll fall asleep. My computer chair is just fine.

V-Rocker
IDK what it is, but if it'll cost me 50 bucks, I don't care to find out.

Controller
Already got one, but thanks anyway.

Virtual Reality Goggles
Seriously, WTF?

I'm perfectly happy without 50 dollar a piece high-tech equipment that'll run cords all over my room. I already have enough cords with my capture card as it is.

Theres my opinions.
