That the same site as socomacademy.com? The one that took the exact same ****ing layout as our forums?

I don't know why this even needs to be posted. You shoot them in the head: kill. Chest (normal circumstances): kill. Arm/leg/foot/hand: no kill. Since s2, good lord.

Pretty much what otter said:
Head: Kill
Chest: usually a kill
arm/leg/foot/hand: non kill.
Enough said no matter what range.

Holy ****! They do the... exact same damage!?!?! OMG!>!?!? WTF!?!?

This is the most incredible information I've ever come across. I always thought that being .50 cal rifles, they would be totally different. Wow man, thank you so much for doing this. I don't know what all the people that are too stupid to live would have done if you didn't tell them this.

The m87 bobbles less in scope b4 it sets, I'd compare it 2 the bobble of the m16, while the m82 is a bit more erratic.

When you play terrorists and use the M82, how long is it before you play SEALs and use the M87. 30 minutes. 45 minutes.

How can you possibly make an accurate comparison.

Not ture- The M82A1A shoots way farther in real life. It's more effective with accuracy and its much stronger. The M87ELR might seem the same in the games but in real life the Barret .50 Cal M82A1A BMG is way better. And it's 5 feet long! :)

Well you're wrong about at least one thing you just said. It can't possibly be any stronger if it shoots the same round, but thanks for playing.

um no hes right m82 shoots farther in real life.
it doesnt pertain to socom but none the less, rifles with different barrels, rifling(screws in barrel) the .50 cal round comes in various different types, which all achieve different ranges and MOA's.

Baretts have achieved confirmed kills at over 1000 meters

by believe it or not, the canadians in afganistan, which broke the record in vietnam set by carlos hathcock(sp?) who confirmed a kill with a mounted .50 cal machine gun at 1000 meters.

(all though it is tough to tell whos an enemy at those ranges)

that is all.

Actually, you're wrong. If you put bullet A in the M87 then bullet B in the M82 obviously it's going to be different. But they both fire .50 BMG, so they can fire the same stuff. If you put bullet A in BOTH you're going to get the same POWER from the round. Accuracy is dependent on the rifling/barrel, and that I agree with. But to say there's different POWER with the exact same bullet is wrong.
