i like the gameplay more, Shellshock Nam '67 had lots of gore and dismemberment, but the gameplay is pfffft.

I just bought SOCOM: Combine Assault, and it is funner than I thought it would be, and the lack of blood didnt bother me. One thing that did bother me is how the bodies of enemies seem to be anxious to get to hell, considering they disappear 5 seconds after you shoot them.

I wanted just one more attachment slot. Although I like how the M79 and everything like that is a sidearm. I just got done with the convoy ambush mission, and those M3 HEAT rounds were delightful.

yep, welcome to the boards, SlipKnoT_Freak.

don't listen to oxfordfreestyl, he's obviously got some kind of frustration in his life right now.

The General & Online Discussion forum is a great place for us to discuss Combined Assault. If the mods really want it somewhere else, they will move it.

And lots of us are nowhere near being over the lack of blood in the game. I agree that there should be an option to turn it back on. Maybe even an option for the degree of blood that is seen, from none to gushing buckets of blood. That would be cool.

Blood or no blood is the least of my concearns with game design.....never even paid much attention to it when it was in game......non-issue.

This is why so many people are getting killed in war and why its taking so long.
Make war as crazy and brutal as hell, that will scare that crap out of the world about how we go to war. Politics suck
but then if you were allowed to do anything, then MORE people would be killed in war.

The only people that would be killed more would be the enemy or people around the world who have not evolved and lived the same as they have for the last 100 years. You have to admit though there are to many rules that give out enemy an advantage.

Dont shoot unless someone in the unit gets hit or shot at.
Only certain guns can be used on enemies
Suicide bomber kills 3 soldiers and lives, send the core man to patch up the bomber and bring him to the hospital.
Can not make a move until you radio to base to ask what you can do, base radios to command. This goes on for 20min plus while you can only duck and cover while taking mortar and gun fire.

If you could just turn it on/off the rating would still have to be Mature, defeating the whole purpose of the blood being turned off.

well if you eliminate bureaucracy in war then you may give yourself more flexibility in some situations, but w/o communication to higher authorities and protocol then you hereby increase mistakes amongst an army that numbers to the millions. It's impossible to keep track of everything w/o this middleman.

It may make it easier for the "enemy" to attack, but it's a way not to get screwed over by mistakes from the bottom of the food chain. If someone from the bottom makes a mistake, because there is NO protocol and communication, the bureaucracy gets blamed which in turn makes the entire country look bad.

Plus i didn't really get the suicide bomber thing...if he is able to kill 3 ppl next to him wouldn't he be blown to bits? Plus the Geneva Convention is pretty important...

If I were Zipper I'd have gotten rid of blood just so people would shut up about the hit detection. No more "I hit him in the head look at the blood!" when you can't see it.

Common sense... blood causes more lag. We don't like lag so they take blood out, and there's no blood because Zipper is G4Y! I can't wait till they use the advantages of the PS3 for Socom 4 instead having to shimmy down games just to run it on a PS2 of low quality...
