Unhappy skills?

what is up with all the yelling and fighting on socom or any game for that matter about skills. there is no skill in playing a game. you just move your thumbs around alot (and i guess your index finger a little). which to me is as much skill as jacking off. so why do people need to take something as simple as a video game and turn it in to free for all about who can curse who out the best. i guess what im trying to ask is, why is it so hard for people to just enjoy playing the game and having fun, which is what games are for. for once id like to to see a game end without the losing team yelling "glitchers" or "laggers", and just say, "hey that was a good game you guys played, we almost had you though" and i dont care if anyone flames this, because anyone that does is most likely the one that takes games to seriously.

Rong. It is skill, it's how you play the game? Strategicly?Tacticaly? and how you make your team win with different strategies. 100% dissagreed with you.

but i still wish people could just play a game as if they were playing a game and not playing to see who is better than who. i bet if they got rid of ranks all together in socom it would be so much more fun. cause then you would have more people working as a team tacticaly and strategicly. instead of some jerk who never helps you out and wants every kill for themself, and then brags about how many kills he/she got, as if it was going to help them out in real life.

The point of a game is to have fun, that's true. But the point of an online game is to show that you are indeed the bigger nerd and have nothing better to do than to talk sh*t over the internet and own some people. Talking sh*t and stuff like that makes it more intense and fun (in a way I guess) and makes the win mean that much more. Now there are people who go overboard with the sh*t talking and stuff like that, but that just shows how pathetic they are. As long as you just worry about yourself and keep your cool while having fun at the same time, then you should have nothing to worry about.

Video games are made for people to challenge themselves. A game that can have multiple players is made so that people can see how good they actually are and learn more skill and tactics(when I say skills, I am talking about quick sniping, using cover effectively, and rushing and camping effectively).
In my oppinion, bragging rights are earned when a player gets a very difficult kill, or when a team just out right owns the other team. I am one of those people who rarely brags over the mic, but I always say a game is good, if it was. As for the people who talk sh*t when they haven't done any thing to help their team, they just deserve to die.

It takes skill, but socom 3 allows everyone a fair chance..the worst socom player can still hide behind a wall and jump out to get a kill.
