You have to go back up to your gun (so the yellow highlight is around it). When you pick attachments, the accuracy reflects in the gun menu.

i dont see the point in a red dot. when shooting the recoil does go up in the scope but u dont see it, so the bullets could go everywhere above where u aiming :)

id rather use a normal scope

You can run around, and the crosshairs don't move out. Its reallllllllly good in real life, but not so much here.

I've never been a big fan of the red dot...not when I can add a nice scope or a suppressor

I believe I put the red dot on my DE.50 but that may be something different..I can't remember

The title of this thread has been changed? I guess that means I made an okay thread, yay. Lets see here, something about the red dot..... Oh I know, did anyone notice that it weighs less than the front grip but gives the same accuracy? So if you don't have the front grip, just slap on a red dot.

whoa wait a second. . . dont get them confused. the red dot is a scope and only gives you accuracy in that mode. the rifle laser is a red dot in 3rd person view but doesnt do anything in a day map

The Red Dot

Well, it's been bugging me for quite some time, so I decided to test it out myself.

When using an assault rifle (I tested it with the 552 and the AG-94), you will have full accuracy if your weapon is equipped with a front grip and a red dot. However, I have always wondered if the red dot requires you to be in it's view, in order to capitalize on it's advantages. Now, a friend of mine and I tested the 552 first, using the same character, same equipment slots, etc. from a standing position at 50 meters. When firing the 552 with the rifle laser, it seemed to have more accuracy than shooting the 552 with a red dot, from third person view. We then tried it with in the view of the red dot, and that had a bit more accuracy. These tests were done for both weapons, from standing and crouching, and while shooting a full magazine. The outcome was the same for both weapons.

All in all, it seems you only gain more accuracy with a red dot if you are in its view.

I just thought I'd throw that out there. So, unless you plan on running around with a 1.5 magnification, don't equip the red dot.
