You can burn the file itself to a CD but it will only be readable on a PC and some DVD players that are "Windows Media-enabled" .
MP3 is an audio compression technology btw.
If you want to make sure any DVD player can read it you will have to burn the file to a DVD after converting it. Most likely you already have Nero, use that. If not than yeah.

That's what I was wondering about burning it as a data cd sorry for the miscommunication but I got some dvd-r's and i'm going to try that.
