What happend to escort games?

hey i remember on s2 when like everyone and their brother used to play escort and it used to rock. wut happend to all the escort games? nobody is ever on them and when they are its like 6-7 people playing.

Well, it's because escort is either sided totally for or totally against the escorting team. If there are no vehicles and you have a long ways to go, then the escortees will get stuck, and unlike in socom 2, they will just stay there and will no longer be under you control. if you do have vehicles, then you just put them all in one, rush to the extraction, drive through it, drive away, and win. They royally ****ed up escort and extraction this game

People don't play Escort or Extraction except in clan wars. Litterally.. The only Escort/Extraction rooms you see will be ~~R^/w *4 Star NAme here*

escorts are only for rank-ups with two PS2's now. plus the maps are huge, unlike fishhook. so it takes about 5 minutes to take the hostages and get them to the extraction.

Citadel~Escort ~No Grenades is so much fun. I also recomend it with Shotguns only

Yeah i loved Escort in socom 2. But I guess its dead now... Sad isnt it?

Only because people are so concerned with their stupid stats that they won't play anything that they don't have a good chance of winning.
It's evident in the lobby when people won't even up or when people switch sides immediately after a hard loss. That's the major difference between S2 and S3. Hopefully in time people won't care about stats and just have fun like they did in S2. Because frankly S2 just isn't as fun as it used to be anymore, maybe it's the people I don't know but to me it's just not.
Also you just have to play with the right people on S3 for example the clans and people we usually play with won't leave the room just because they know they are at a disadvantage. They play through and get us next game and we do the same.

My clan s3 was just playing a escort/extraction whatever on seals and we actuallly won, the terrorists really sucked if they lost extraction. All they have to do is kill the hostages. Plus I went 19-7 that game. Mvp.

Not to mention it was some random pubby game that we went in..plus the maps are relatively new, so people sort of don't know what to do, even though they were on terrorists in Last Bastion..they don't even have to leave the center ruins..
