How can I connect a PS2 console to a PC monitor?

The TV that I play S3 on sucks - no two ways about it! However, my PC Monitor (Benq) is LCD and brand spankin' new...anyone know if there is a way to connect a PS2 console to a PC monitor? Is there an adapter out there or some tech trick to make it work? Any tips would be mucho appreciated!

You need to buy some hardware for your PC that costs about sixty bucks. I use Win Go 2000. You can record with it as well. You might be able to find something cheaper, but it might be poor quality or lacking features.

For me, I just plugged the hardware into an empty PCI slot and installed a bit of software. Then I connected my TV to my computer with a cable and now I can watch TV on my computer too.

f I am not mistaken they are called Video Capture cards, at least I hope so because thats what I have been looking into to try and connect them. They are about $55 at least and just fit into you computer (inside) so I am a little weary (sp?) about buying one but I will give it a go when I find one I want and see what happens.

You can get them almost anywhere, I have seen them in Wal-Mart so you should be able to get them in most other places similar to Wal-Mart. ;-)

there is something besides a capture card. something that just converts the regular ps2 cable to something to go into a monitor. and the monitor act like a tv, wihout the signal going throught he PC.

Cableto hookup ps2 > monitor

i connnect my xbox360 using anxbox 360 VGA cable, and thena small male to male adapter from radioshack, and i get full HI-def.

i dont think the ps2has a cable, but there are converters online im pretty sure, that convert either (rca or componet cables) (notsure) to VGA ADAPTER........then ushud be able to hookit str8t up 2ur monitor.

only prob is u can only have 1 device connected 2 ur monitor, so u cant veiw ur computer screen, w/theps2 connected

I use a capture card. Just hook it up inside your computer, where your extra nick cards and such go, then plug in your regular PS2 cables into the card.
